Hello 2015, why are being so tough on me?

It's been a while since I last posted anything on this blog. In fact, to be honest, I have totally forgotten about it. I was having hard time remembering my username, what more the password. Nasib baik tak kena barred. 

Anyway, I guess it is too late to wish everyone (cheh, bajet macam ada readers la kan!) a happy 2015 for the fact that we are already in June - half pass 2015. Another half year to go.

Tak sempat pon nak review 2014 which was a good - very good year for me. I don't think I remember what had happened in 2014 but to summarize things up, it was indeed a very good year. And for that, I foresee that 2015 is not going to be as good as 2014 which by far is very true!

I had a very tough first quarter of 2015. I will not go there again - let bygone be bygone. But everything starts to be picking up very well in the second quarter and I must say, dreams do come true.

As we all know, economically, we are being challenged left, right, front, back and centre. With the implementation of GST, the chaotic behaviour of our Idiotic Ministers (sorry, but I really have to write this) and the never-ending drama of 1MDB; our economy is currently seen unstable and that has brought to the downright of our Ringgit. As a worried citizen, I am not excluded in feeling the pain. Therefore, for me, 2015 is seen as a transaction year. A year where I have to be very mindful on my surroundings. A year where I have to learn to be a wise person in all aspects. A year where I have to learn to prioritize my wants and needs. A year for me to improve myself and to be a better person - mentally, and spiritually. 

Despite all that, 2015 (so far) has brought some light to my not-so-bright-tunnel. I have officially left the agency world (and the industry). Like I mentioned, dreams do come true and I shall write about it soon (I hope so!). And 2015 is a year where I will be venturing into the 3 series which I am so looking forward. Yes, unlike others, I am so looking forward to my 30th birthday. Ohh where are you July, come on!!

That's it for now. I thought of closing down this blog of mine tapi, I guess it's good to keep it. At least I have something to help me to improve my "England" - my England not so powderful

Selangor Negeriku

Posted up this status on my Facebook account last Wednesday. Feeling all disappointed over the current situation that is happening in Selangor. 

After so many years, Selangor has finally becoming an establish state managed by the "experience" people who really know how to manage a state rather than thinking on how to grow their own pocket size. For that, I believe, has built the confident and trust between the ruler, The Sultan of Selangor and the state representatives especially towards the MB. And as the rakyat, I also believe, we are happier now than ever - in so many ways and factors.

In the eyes of the rakyat, Pakatan Rakyat has done a wonderful job managing the state of Selangor. We can proudly say that our leader, the MB is finally free from corruption (I'm sure he is not totally free but does not commit serious corruption crime as the previous MBs). We can see that he is working towards the excellence of Selangor, just like how he managed his previous organization. We believe in his capabilities. But unfortunately, all these are going down the drain.

Selangor adalah negeri yang sangat kaya-raya. Kuala Lumpur is situated within Selangor's district. Kaya dengan balak, kaya dengan tanah pasir, kaya dengan kilang-kilang. Segala jenis kilang ada di Selangor. Kilang Carlsberg kat Selangor. Kilang Guinese kat Selangor. These are the source of income for Selangor. Dan sudah pasti, ramai orang mahukan Selangor. Selangor MB seat is always the "hot" seat. Dan sebab itu juga, Selangor tidak pernah lepas daripada berlakunya pergolakan politik.

I hope this is just temporary. A transaction period for a betterment. Maybe, just maybe, what people say about the MB is true. But he is reliable and he can do work. We all know that he is not a politician. He is known for his corporate excellence and because of that, he manages Selangor very well!

Semoga Selangor kembali kepada sedia kala. Kalau sekarang ni di buat pilihanraya, I'm 101% confident that it'll be in the hands of BN. Penat je pergi beratur panjang-panjang mengundi pada May 5, 2013. Sia-sia segala penat lelah peluh yang minitik!

Ini cerita hari Sabtu.

Received a last minute birthday invitation on Friday that requires our attendance. Biasalah, Iman bukan lah selalu keluar ber-social sangat. She is either stay at home or out to the park which doesn't requires her to be all dressed-up. Her dresses all very limited. She grows up very fast that all her dresses semua dah senteng or kecil. And this little girl of mine doesn't like wearing dresses. Kau memang anak ibu, Iman!

So anyway, I bought this dress in Bangkok last year. I bought her few dresses and pants and guess what, all dah kecil. This dress is meant for a 3 year old girl. Time pergi Bangkok tu, Iman 2 tahun pon belum lagi. Saja gatal-gatal beli the dress. Luckily, I bought it and it fits her well, I suka!!

At first, I was contemplating whether should I dressed her in this dress or in her favourite polka-dot blue pants. Knowing how dramatic she can be, refuse to wear any dresses, I did few tricks on her so that she'll wear it. Nasib baik lakonannya tidak berlaku, she was happily wearing it without putting any drama on it.

She looks all grown-up on this dress. My girl is all grown up. Please don't grow up so fast my girl! #emomum.

Maybe I should post more of Iman's #ootd here. Eh, macamlah Iman selalu keluar.

That's the thing, I rather stay at home than going out. With the recent cases of kidnapping and brutal crimes happening everywhere, it is best that we always stay in than going out.

To all the mums out there, please be extra careful and please don't let your kids go out unattended. You may not know what's going to happen to your kids. Prevention is better than cure. Eh, tak ada kena mengena. But yea, please be extra sensitive. Orang sakit mental terlalu banyak di luar sana and they don't care if their victims adalah kanak-kanak ataupun orang dewasa. Yang mereka tau is bunuh je, nauzubillah! Semoga anak-anak kita dilindungi, amin!

Makan Babi haram, ambik duit orang tak haram ke?

There have been a lot of tensions going on over the recent news of two Cadbury chocolate products that were found containing pig DNA in it.

Some of the Muslim NGOs have expressed their disappointments with making irrelevant and ridiculous comments and feedback over the matter.

1. One suggested that Cadbury factory to be burned down for their reckless mistakes.
2. A lady from one of the organizations hosted a press conference saying that the Muslim consumers have to change their blood due to the consumption. Ini paling bodoh pernah di dengar
3. One suggested that the Muslim consumers need to wash their mouth with sand (Samak).

For a person who have a very little knowledge on Islam, I have to admit that I do not have the rights to comment on it. Takut apa yang dikatakan akan mengudang kekeliruan. But I do believe that Islam is not a complicated religion. It teaches its followers to live a simple life and the rules and regulations that we, Muslims have to follow, generally are very simple and easy to adapt to ones daily life. 

It is so embarrassing to hear bad comments coming from my non-Muslims friends over the ridiculous video that went viral over the "change of blood" statement made by one of the NGO people. It really gives a bad impression to Islam. The non-Muslims will think that Islam is nothing but full of restrictions. Hence, they will never want to learn or understand the beauty of Islam.

Former Perlis mufti Datuk Dr Asri Zainul Abidin expressed disappointment with Muslims in the country who were more concerned over the consumption of pork, but kept silent over bigger crimes such as corruption.
 He said it is as though the Muslim community does not realise the sin and harm in matters that are clearly illegal, such as interest-taking and corruption, both far greater sins compared to consuming pork.
 "Unfortunately, we are not making enough noise over things that are clearly haram.
 "This is the understanding of Islam, which only regards consuming pork as unlawful, but do not view gambling, interest-taking and corruption in the same way when clearly they are much bigger sins and cause greater harm," he wrote on his Facebook page today.
 He added that it was not a sin when followers of Islam accidentally consumed pork, and that Allah would not punish anyone if it was done unknowingly.
 Asri was commenting on the pig DNA that was found in Cadbury chocolates and lashed out at the reaction of some quarters, which he deemed as an overreaction.
 He added that Islam did not require such reactions which brings about difficulty.
 "Objecting on consumer rights is a good thing so that the purchasing public is not deceived.
 "But excessiveness, such as asking to wash the mouth with sand (samak mulut) or change the blood is considered overreacting in Islam, he said.
 According to recent reports, tests conducted by the Health Ministry on two chocolate products, Cadbury Dairy Milk Hazelnut, with batch number 200813M01H I2 that expires on November 13, 2014, and Cadbury Dairy Milk Roast Almond, with batch number 221013N01R I1, that expires on January 15, 2015, found they had pig DNA in them.
 Following this, the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) immediately suspended the products' halal certification, while Cadbury said it would recall the chocolates from stores.
 Malay group Jaringan Melayu Malaysia (JMM) said it planned to sue Cadbury Confectionery Malaysia following the reports on traces of pig DNA.
 JMM president Azwanddin Hamzah had accused Cadbury of misleading Muslims by producing products with porcine DNA.
 Cadbury's biggest consumer, he said, were Muslims and Malays. – May 28, 2014.

Financial (Credit Card) Scam

I'm not sure if I have posted on financial scam before but this is the second time I experienced being a scam victim.

About a year ago, I received a phone call from Unify telling me that I have an outstanding billing amounting RM1K+. Naively, I agreed to informed them on all of my bank account details. Yes, as stupid as it sounds, I actually did informed them on all of my details of my bank accounts from my personal bank detail to the one where my salary's in. Lucky me, Allah masih mahu melindungi hambaNya yang bodoh ini, my balance money wasn't that attractive for them to withdraw. I only had RM50 in my bank account. Jadi, tak jadilah mereka nak ambik.

And you know why I trusted them? They actually informed me on Bank Negara contact person where I can make a report on this scam. Bijak tak mereka-mereka ni? Dah lah buat scam, lepas tu berjaya meng-convince-kan kita yang kita dah kena scam. So, the supposedly Bank Negara contact person made all the necessary report with all my banking details.

I told my husband about it and he said that this is actually a scam and that the Bank Negara personnel is not from Bank Negara and I don't believe him when he told me about it because they sound so very convincing. On the day I met with my Bank Negara client, I told them about it and it was confirmed that I have been scammed.

Yesterday, I received another call from Ambank credit card. I was told that I have an outstanding payment of RM3K+. It was the auto voice machine that "called" me. I pressed "9" to confirm on the statement and it led me to this Cina Ah-Beng "customer service" personnel. Dengan agak ragu-ragu, I asked that person on the assurance of him working with Ambank credit card contact centre because clearly, he doesn't speak fluent English and definitely does not sound like a customer service person. Dengan nada yang marah I told him that I don't own any Ambank credit card. I actually screamed at him and he finally hung up on me.

Nasiblah kerja tempat yang kelilingnya bank centres, I walked to Ambank to make a report. Luckily, I'm not trapped with this scam sebab I did not inform them on any of my personal details jadi mereka tak dapat nak trace apa-apa information.

Few things I learned while confirming with Ambank personnel:-

1. Any bank will never call anyone with a direct phone no. Normally, it will appears as "Private Number" on your phone. Never will it be a direct phone number like +603-465 2016. If this happens, please note that it is a scam
2. Credit card personnel will never call anyone for transaction confirmation. It will always be an SMS notification.
3. Once they ask for confirmation on credit card number, surely it's a scam.
4. Scam is very random. They will randomly call anyone to try their luck.
5. They will convince you with Bank Negara contact person. This is also a scam.
6. If ragu-ragu, go directly to the bank to make clarifications

Jadi kawan-kawan, berhati-hatilah. Kita semua adalah mangsa scam which I wonder, why they always attack me?

Air oh air, dimanakah kau air?

It's been close to two months now since SYABAS did the water rationing in most of the major housing areas in Selangor and Klang Valley. And it's been nothing but a disaster to all of us. With the two days with and without water schedule has put us all in an emotional situation whereby we have to outsource our water supply elsewhere. And it's tiring! Tired of having to go out and get out water supply, re-filling our water tank just to make sure that we have enough supplies for the upcoming two days of no water.

Ini betul-betul menguji tahap kesabaran diri sendiri.

Rumah dah jadi tunggang langgang sebab there were times when the water just couldn't re-fill the house water tank and that, we have to depend solely on the direct water supply. The downside of the direct water supply is that often, they were in yellowish in color. Means, the water that is coming into our house is not the clean water even after being filtered. Imagine if we do not have the water filter, memang kuning habis lah.

Our routine has changed 180 degrees. Luckily, mom's school memang ada air. Jadi, every night without fail we will go to her school to mandi. Bayangkan, balik kerja penat-penat sampai rumah pukul 9pm pastu bergegas salin baju sebab nak pergi mandi and tadah air bersih. And on weekends, memang lagi meriahlah kerja mencari air.

Laundry, memang tak payah cakap. Nak kena tunggu air ada baru boleh basuh kalau tak mandi sebaldi seorang pun belum tentu cukup.

Well, for people like me (and my mum and sister), having limited of water supply is not really a problem as we practices having bath once a day - iaitu di waktu pagi sebelum pergi kerja (wajib). Ye, kami memang busuk begitu. But not for people like my husband and dad who take bath more than four times a day. I just don't understand why they need to take bath that much in a day (orang busuk memang tak faham keperluan untuk mandi, LOL). But having a little girl in the house makes it even more difficult. We have to ensure that the water supply is very clean as Iman has a very sensitive skin. There was one time where I washed her clothes using the washing machine (normally, I hand-wash it) and her skin started to grow rashes. Kesian dia. It took her more than a week to get the rashes off her body. Nasib baik tak gatal teruk or else, dah berlarian anak kami ke hospital.

The latest news on water rationing is that they are going to extend it till July which is until Raya. They can't be serious about this, right? How can they do this to the rakyat?

If this still unchanged and that, they are still insisted in extending the water rationing until July, I seriously don't know what to say. We have been ruled by stupid inconsiderate people in our country. I wonder where have all the intelligent people gone to.

Oh, and one more thing. I will be very disappointed if the authority really politicized this issue because this is something that they shouldn't be politicized. Ini adalah keperluan rakyat bukan untuk di-politik-an.

Sekian sahaja coretan dukacita saya. Saya adalah rakyat yang prihatin. Semoga isu ini tidak lagi berpanjangan. Two months is already a long period, I don't think any one of us can stand until July.

#prayforMH370

Yesterday night, the Prime Minister has officially confirmed that MH370 has ended in the southern of Indian Ocean. They have also assumed that there were no survivors and that, they are still continuing with the search and rescue mission to look for the "black box" and possible, to look for the plane.

My prayers are to the family and friends of MH370 passengers and the cabin crew. Al-Fatihah.

But what I don't understand is that the stupidity that the reporters have shown throughout this whole period of time with their inappropriate-insensitive questions, provoking the search and rescue team for their capabilities in doing their job. I'm sure and I believe that they have done their tremendous job in searching for the missing jetline. 

Although I strongly believe that they are not telling us the whole truth but I'm sure, they have done their very best in controlling the situation. Who would have thought that such incident can happen here in Malaysia. We are among the safest country in the world and yet, it can still happened.

And honestly, the China Chinese have to really know how to manage their anger and patience. It's THE Indian Ocean that we're talking about. Even the submarines can't go any deeper than that.  And there is no point in pointing fingers to anyone at this point of time. Please, be patience!

It's always easier said than done. I personally couldn't imagine if my family, husband, parents were in that plane and I'm not sure how I can handle it if it happens to me. There is no words to describe how it feels. It's heartbreaking, for sure!

This incident is really an eye opener to all of us. But Allah has a better plan for all of us. Redha!

The year of the horse

Firstly, I would like to wish all my Chinese friends and readers (Cheh, budget macam famous blogger yang ada ramai readers dari segala lompok dunia), Happy Chinese New Year. Hope you have a great celebration with family and friends. And to those who are not celebrating, happy holiday to us :)

Walaupun cerita selanjutnya tiada kaitan dengan CNY tapi tetap nak tulis juga.

Reminiscing my first day working with the company, I was told by my GM then (she is now the company's MD) that I was the only Malay working in the company. I still remember her one last question before showing me my cubicle; "are you sure you can fit in because we have some jingjang Chinese and some modern Chinese here in the company?". Mind you she is also a Chinese but married to a Muslim man hence she is a Muslim. I answered "yes, why not?"

Scared, no I don't think so. Why do I have to be scared? They don't eat human but nervous, yes! Nervous as my England isn't that powderful and I don't speak what more understand Chinese/Mandarin. How to communicate? I guess I am allowed to be nervous. 

Being the only Malay in the company filled with Chinese colleagues put my conscious senses to the highest level. I have to be aware on the plates/bowls and cutleries because obviously, they eat pork and drink whine/beer. But it is not a big of a problem - I bring my own plate, bowls and cutleries, settled!

I have to admit, I am very fortunate to have such a wonderful colleagues. Although, I am the only Malay  Muslim in the company, they are very much sensitive towards my needs. They don't have any issue or being so racist towards me. My boss always reminds me "eh, pergi semayang lah". They will always inform before hand that the food that they ordered were not Halal. We understand each others' interests. 

I have no problem having lunch with them. Obviously, they have to go to the halal place but if they decided to eat the non-halal food, then, I don't join them. Not a issue! We are very much civilized!

After 3 years of working with the company, I am still the only Malay in my department but my population is growing bit by bit. They are hiring more Malays now. And I can understand Chinese a bit. See, it's not always bad! I survived though! Civilization is they main key!

I have no problem if they want to drink beer/whine or eat pork. I have no issue with it. Not that I'm interested but I don't see it as a problem. Hence why I am so sad with what is happening to Malaysia now. Why must we create the racist tension. Why can't we live harmoniously? Why? 

Kesian to our future generations. We build hatred in them and they will always see a Chinese as a Chinese and a Malay as a Malay. And I don't want my children to have this hatred. 

Happy Chinese New Year friends (tetiba je!)

Allah SWT: Tidak menyekutu & tidak dimenyekutui

There has been a lot of tension going on about the usage of ALLAH in the bible. This was brought up by the irresponsible politicians over the issue of the East Malaysian Christians having the ALLAH name in their BM copy of the bible. And with the recent incident of JAIS raiding the headquarters of the Bible Society of Malaysia has made the issue grew bigger which created hatred among the extremist society of Islam with the Christians in Malaysia.

As a concerned citizen of Malaysia, I am honestly worried about this. This may leads to the same incident we had in 1969 which was caused due to the differences in religions and beliefs. We are in the 22nd century, issues like this were not supposed to be raised anymore.

I believe in unity and Islam has taught us so well to respect each other despite their religions and beliefs. If your base is strong, you shouldn't be threaten if someone were to say the other things about your religion. You should stand strong with what you believe in.

Islam has taught us that Allah itu Satu and tiada yang lain selain Allah. Allah tidak menyekutu dan tidak dimenyekutui. And if someone says that Jesus is the son of God and the God is Allah because their religion has taught them that, why must you be threaten or confused because you already know that it is wrong? This shows that you have a very weak base. One should be polishing their faith and build their base as strong as possible so that with a simple statement like that won't confuse you. This also shows that your learning and faith in Islam is not strong at all. Nauzubillah.

I believe in Islam. And to be honest, this whole ALLAH issue was brought up for political reasons. And to who ever who raised this should be burned in hell, I'm no kidding! How could you do this.

I found a very interesting and logic explanation on the usage of ALLAH and I hope this clears the air.

MH: Malaysian Hospitality

As written clearly on the title, this is going to be one biased article on Malaysian Airlines. No, I was not paid to write this article nor I was hired to do so. This is solely based on my past experiences boarding on both MAS and Air Asia and totally on my personal point of view.

Yes, no doubt Air Asia is THE No. 1 Low Cost Carrier airline in the world but to be honest, their services are still not THE No. 1 just yet. No doubt that within 10 years, they have grown so much; expending their destinations to more than 50 routes (and I think, they are more than that), liked by most people and I totally agreed with what they stand for - "Now Everyone Can Fly" which is a huge success especially for Malaysia Airline industry. They created positive competitions not just to MAS but to other full service airlines as well as the low cost ones. They are very competitive. They know their market well - They know Malaysia market very well hence the tremendous growth. However, the low cost title leads them on having the low cost services.

I'm not a frequent traveler. But I can be considered as their every year passenger for both of the airlines. I check on their fares every now and then. I'll definitely purchase their tickets if I find it attractive. You know lah, Malaysian travelers really opt for cheap fares and I'm one of them. Raya is my favourite time to purchase air tickets because we go back to Kedah with it but I have to say, my priority is always on MAS. I don't mind paying a little bit extra just to fly with them. 

I've traveled on long haul with both airlines before and because of that, my loyalty for MAS increases. If you opt for comfort, well MAS has it. In fact, they have it all especially when you have to travel together with your children. Due to the bad experience I had recently traveling to Sydney with Air Asia, it made me not want to travel with them anymore. I guess my expectation for them was very high and I was expecting an A class services from them else why THE No. 1 title? Unfortunately, it wasn't as expected. Very disappointing.

I'm actually not sure where this post leads but my point is, looking at the recent report on MAS, I really hope that they can improve especially on their services. People have been making bad remarks on them especially on how their crews have been treating the guests. They should be carrying the good name of Malaysia because they are the first brand that foreign travelers seen on Malaysia. And the report on MAS not making money doesn't make sense at all. Never have I seen an empty flight on local or international destinations and how can they not making money? They really have to improve that area though!

Dah merepek dah ni but as a loyal MAS traveler, I have so much faith in you and I really wish that you can serve us better.

With this doesn't mean that I will not travel with Air Asia. I will somehow ...... will. MAS don't have flights to Krabi, no? And I don't totally don't like Air Asia. I hope with the launch of KLIA 2 will somehow improve Air Asia's services. They have the potential to grow and their services have to grow too. The trust is not there yet - for me that is!

This is solely based on my experiences and my personal point on view. Apology if it offended you my dear readers. We have our own preferral on certain brands/products and I can say that MAS is my preferred brand. You may have different opinion towards this but this is mine.

Oh! Malaysiaku

I'm sure everyone knows by now that there'll be an increase on toll rates effective 1st January 2014 for most of the inter-linked KL highways. Increment is ranging from RM0.50 to RM2. It's good that the government pre-empted us before they really implement the new rates. However, the rates that were reported earlier were slightly lower than the official ones. I guess, re-evaluating the rates have caused more increment. Rakyat Malaysia kan kaya raya.

Anyways, nothing's new right? We were expecting more things to increase in 2014 aren't we?

I'm not sure if this is the official rates applying for the respective highways but if this is it, I guess, makan pasir lah jawabnya. 

I have to spare RM12 daily for my toll expenses for 2014 which is 50% higher than my current expenses. This is madness. Tapi tak apa, rakyat Malaysia kan kaya raya!

Highways were made to help the rakyat to spend less hours on the road and to avoid traffic jams. Hence why the rakyat do not mind paying a little bit extra on toll. However, with the crazy toll increment won't do the purpose anymore. How is it helping the rakyat if we were to pay super extra in order to reach our destinations. And suggesting the rakyat to use alternative road is totally a stupid-uneducated comment made by the ministers. Then why build highways?

Are you expecting us to use Federal Highway or the MRR2? Have you been to this roads during peak hours? Where's you brain mister?

I have to find my own solution. Using alternative road won't solve my problem. I will still need to pay toll even using an alternative road. There is no way I can avoid paying toll going to Damansara. Hence why I decided to get a B2 license next year with or without husband's permission. And to get a super cool pink color scooter.

This shall be my 2014 resolution - B2 license and a pink scooter.

To serve and not to be served

Over the past few weeks, there has been a heavy coverage on the flooded areas of Kuantan, Kemaman and some other parts of Pahang and Terengganu. It has been reported that the nature disaster was the worst in 17 years. As much as I want to help - in terms of offering my physical contribution helping the flood victims, I have my responsibility here waiting for me. Hence, dengan sedikit kemampuan yang ada harapannya agar dapat membantu mangsa-mangsa banjir, InsyaAllah.

And until now, what we hear over the news were the fights between the political parties on who should we blame over the nature disaster and how much they have contributed helping out the victims (by showing off their faces on the news instead of REALLY helping out the victims) instead of finding ways to ensure that this won't happen again in future. It's not a first time that this unfortunate disaster happened in the east coast. It is well-known that year end is where the monsoon comes and hence it effects the east coast states. But there is no initiative done by the political parties to somehow solve this problem or to at least, prepare the victims with whatever that is needed before it happens. Because whether you like it or not, it will happens.

Despite the on-going argument between the political parties on who to blame and what nots, there's one soul who have been contributing her whole energy helping out the victims. I salute Tengku Puan Pahang with all her hard work helping out, cooking for the victims across the villages in Pahang. And believe it or not, her consistent contributions were not reported on the news. Ini adalah contoh sebenar membantu dengan ikhlas and I'm sure they were all on her own expenses.

And yes, she practices what she preaches "to serve and not to be served". 

I admire her hard work. The one thing that she can contributes is by cooking for the victims which she is really good at. Her down-to-earth personality makes her loved by everyone not just by the Pahang people but also by others. She puts aside her status and as a human being, she helped her people in times where they need her to most. A good example that all leaders should follow. This is nothing close in gaining popularity. This is really who she is!

Tengku Puan Pahang, you are in deed a good role model. 

Hello Malaysia!

I am very much impressed with the amount of money that our government paid for the Prime Minister's bills. The amount of money that we spent on these bills can actually feed a village, Masyallah. 

It is sad looking at what is happening to the country. It's getting worst with nonsense news being reported everyday. It's heart-breaking to see that irresponsible Ministers trying to fool the rakyat with crappy statements, making fool of themselves as if the rakyat is so stupid that the rakyat can't differentiate between right and wrong. We are desperately in need of a change - a true leader who can manage the country well and not just by managing their own pocket money.

Wonder when will that time be?

CCRIS vs PTPTpu

There has been a highly talkable debate over the issue of graduates who have yet to pay their PTPTN loan to be listed into Bank Negara's CCRIS system. This announcement was made by the 2nd Education Minister, Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh couple of days ago in order to encourage the graduates to do their payment. With this enforcement, Bank Negara will have the access to asses prospective borrower's financial profile. Dalam bahasa melayunya, ini akan menyukarkan si peminjam untuk membuat permohoan/urusan bank untuk urusan yang berbeza (car, house, personal loan).

His statement received numerous of responds as this issue went viral minutes after his announcement. Some were good tapi yang lebih banyaknya adalah dengan membantah. Yang lebih menyakitkan hati when comments were made by those who didn't go to the Public University for their higher education and obviously not a PTPTN borrower. Tapi bila buat statement, mengalahkan penasihat Perdana Menteri. Cakap macam dia tahu segalanya.

This is just my personal point of view as I believe that I am eligible to make comment as

1. I am religiously paying my PTPTN debt
2. I went to the Public University for my higher education

And I strongly believe that PTPTN is not doing a good job handling this whole process.

Yes, as an adult we are responsible to our own debts. And I believe that every graduates are very much thankful to PTPTN for giving them the opportunity to further their studies. After all, we are not the children of some Datuks or Tan Sris that can afford our own education fund to study at some private unis/colleges or even abroad. And for that, thank you PTPTN. Also, I strongly believe that the borrowers are also been paying their debts just that not consistently. Kalau tak bayar, tak kanlah PTPTN dapat collect some millions of ringgit every year.

Yang menjadi persoalannya, adalah comment daripada sang "cendiakawan" yang cakap bungbang bungbang menagalahkan menteri.

If you have been receiving PTPTN yearly statement, you'll notice the high (%) of service charge that has been charged to you monthly that caused more that your actual loan amount. Furthermore, you have been charged the certain (%) of interest on top of your loan amount into the account. And if you remember profoundly, some (%) of interest has been also charged to you even before you received your loan. So, si pandai cediakawan, bukankan ini riba? And tolonglah PTPTN, your are charging the borrowers more that what they should pay which I think is unfair. We are getting less amount of money but we have to pay double from what we borrowed. Ape nih? Riba close to 100% you are taking from your borrowers and that is why some of them decided not to pay or stop paying because even after making monthly payment, the amount does not reducing at all!

And please, when some of the non-borrowers made comments like "oh, dulu hidup mewah dengan PTPTN tapi bila kena bayar, cakap tak ada duit". I seriously feel like slapping their face. Pleaselah! You were lucky that your dad were the one paying for your education. Some of us are not that lucky enough to be born rich. So keep your comments to yourself. 

If you ask UM, USM (and I think UKM too) students, the PTPTN money that they received sometime is not even enough to pay their semester's fee. They have to add in their own money to pay the fees. You know how I know? I am those who have to fork my own pocket money to pay the fees on top of receiving the PTPTN yang tak cukup tu. Not that I'm not thankful, I am! And that is why I am so angry when I saw those stupid comments from people who does not know the head and tale of PTPTN and their process. Yes, if you ask students from UITM (sorry to say lah ye. Jangan terasa pulak), their course fees are way cheaper than those who studied at UM/USM/UKM hence why sometime you see some students living a luxurious life with their PTPTN money.

But hey, some people struggle to pay their PTPTN debt ye!

Oh, satu lagi. PTPTN is nothing like house/car loan. At least yearly you get to see the deduction of your car loan unlike PTPTN yang tak nampak pon hasil menolakan. Jadi, awas ye dengan setiap kata-kata.

With this, I would like to suggest to PTPTN to re-look on their policy or at least, stop charging us the monthly service charge yang melampau itu or else you will keep on having graduates who will never going to pay their loans.

Sebab tak ikhlas nak kasilah orang jadi tak ikhlas nak bayar hence the repayment rate will be lower each year.

Yesterday, they announced that the parliament has agreed not to proceed with this idea as it will effect the graduates especially those who just graduated or still looking for a job.

After all, with the promotion of 20% deduction if one pay total lump sum is a very good offer. Why change?

From a concerned citizen of Malaysia

I remember watching a movie (which I can't seem to remember the title) but the main actor were Marc Anthony and Dakota Fanning. It is a story of a rich man which inherited his wealthiness from his wife's father who built their empire in Mexico's city. Of course, money laundering was involved and Marc Anthony had no choice but to give away his daughter to save his business. There's a lot of shooting involved. Biasalah cerita gangster-gangster mesti ada tembak-tembak.

At the end of the story, his daughter's bodyguard (who is also a very famous actor whom I have no idea his name is) was the one yang terkorban trying to save his daughter's life or something like that.

My point is, the movie has a lot of shooting scenes and I, at one point believe that it will never happen in the real world. How can a place allows gangsterism berleluasa di mana-mana.

As naive as I may sound, it actually happens here in Malaysia.

It's scary to know that one is no longer safe walking by her/his own on the street walaupun di waktu hari yang terang. It's no longer safe for me to have my morning jog without having the fear of someone actually following me. It's worst now that it's no longer safe for someone to stop at a traffic light without having the feeling of someone stopping next to his/her car with a gunshot.

Takut kan?

Takut sangat!

With the recent cases where numerous of people being shot while waiting in their car is scary. Tembakan jarak dekat pulak tu. Worst thing is, this kind of cases appear in the news almost everyday. Why such things can happen here in Malaysia?

We used to be a safe country. Of course, jenayah memanglah ada but not to the extent of tembak-menembak secara terang-terangan. Where are all our police officers? Aren't they doing their job? 

Isn't it worrying to know that your country is becoming just like what is shown in the movie. Gangsterism leads to gun-shooting. What happens to Malaysia?

I'm no longer feeling safe living in this country. How can they keep on saying that our country is still safe whereas the cases of people dying due to gun-shooting appears everyday. It's worrying, Masyaallah.

As a concerned citizen, I really hope that something will be done by the authority to make sure that cases like this will never happen again. It's scary and worrying. Amat membimbangkan.

Lagu Raya! Lagu Raya! Lagu Raya!

My initial plan was to write about the post that went viral yesterday on the story of non-Muslim primary students having their lunch break at the school's toilet room. I've collected my source, pictures and stories but decided to let it down because I think, I will not write it properly. 

Just to note some points:-

1. Don't always jump to conclusion. This is to the mother who posted this article. Do not just rely on 1 source and 1 source only. Instead of believing what the school bus driver said, you might as well go to the school and clarify yourself. There are teachers who I believe can assist you on your concerns. Toilet room and changing room are two different things.
2. Low self awareness. This is to the citizen of Malaysia. This is a good example of how we Malaysians see things. Often that we judge people without really searching for the truth. Paling tepat, what we see is not what we tell. There's always penambah garam, gula untuk penyedap cerita. 
3. Racism. This is also a good example of how racist we are. Baru tengok sikit gambar and the first thing that come to our mind is racism. This is really a serious matter.
4. Orang Malaysia cepat melatah. Period!

Then, I decided to post the most talk of the town story of Princess Kate Middleton who just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. 

But then again, I believe there are thousands of people out there who will be writing about how glowy her post-natal appearance. For godsake, she's a Britain Royal Princess. For all you know, she has an army of people who will help her with her appearance. So yea, no story of the royal princess.

Note: If she was not married to Prince William, she will exactly look like most of us who just gave birth to a baby - having our hair tied up high and wearing kain batik. Ok, maybe not kain batik!

Then finally, I decided to post on my most favourite raya song. Yes, just like a kid I am, I am so looking forward to raya.

And yes of course, I am very sad the Ramadan is so close in waving its hand but I don't tell that to the world. I try my best to perform during this holy month. Every thing that I do is between me and for Allah to judge and not for the world to know. Sad that some people is so sarcastic in giving their comments. But then again, the intention is to remind hence I will take it with an open arms. Thank you for the reminder and Salam Ramadan to you. No hard feelings :)

June 2013 - Kuala Lumpur

Haze is not something new here in Malaysia. It's like part of the system. Normally, it'll be during August-September and sometimes, it runs throughout the year but not this year. The IPU reading was way higher especially in the southern part of the country. Believe it or not, Muar's IPU reading reached 745 yesterday and some part of the country were at the emergency 300+ level.

This was taken yesterday at 4.30pm

The picture above was taken at 4.30pm while on our way to Maklong's house. The IPU reading at that time was only at 100+ and yet we were unable to see the view of Bukit Antarabangsa. Imagine if it's on 700+ level. Masya Allah.

And today is even worst.

While I was on my way to the office this morning, my view was rather blurry and while reaching the exist at Damansara Perdana, the tall building were nowhere to be seen. It's bad that even One Utama is only seen from few metres away. Very very bad!

So you people out there, make sure you have your mask on. Drink plenty of warm water (make sure you boil it first), don't go out unless if needs be (working purposes) or else just stay in-door. If you have small baby at home, make sure they are well-covered (a reminder to myself too). Don't let your kids play out side of the house. Memang akan semak duduk rumah but this is for our own good.

Well, with this kind of situation, staying in is the only solution that we have. We should have take care of our nature and never to neglect them and look at what we have done to ourselves. Dah lah tak hujan. Mungkin ini adalah ujian yang Allah nak belikan kepada kita terhadap kelalaian kita sendiri. 

So friends, do take care of your health. Remember to have your mask on. ya!

Post General Election

As well-informed, we had our GE last Sunday (5th May) and I must say that it was the ugliest-most-interesting general election I have even seen. Of course, the results were as expected (as per my prediction). Some were happy while some were not. And as for me, since I have already predicted the results and it turned out to be as per my prediction, I received it with an open arm. 

Apparently, not to some.

According to most analysis which was done prior to the results, it shows that most Chinese were turning into the Opposition Party instead of the rulling Barisan Nasional and so did the urban voters. Although the full results shown that BN won the GE but the truth is, they actually lost a lot of seats especially at the urban areas. And if it wasn't because of Sabah & Sarawak, they would probably have went down the drain.

You do the math.

Well, I don't actually care of how many seats they have lost but instead of the things that they said post to the general election.

As you can see from today's Utusan headline, it shows that the Chinese has not been "grateful" and has turned their back on the current government hence, the inappropriate headline. They have again played the racial sentiments hoping for Malaysians to hate each other.

I was so angry. I'm so ashamed to be called as Melayu. Even in Islam, we are taught to respect each other regardless of their beliefs and religious. We were not supposed to hate each other. I can't believe that this is actually happening here in my country. Why can't we live harmoniously and be a better nation? Why must we create hatred among other races. We are living under the same roof by the name of Malaysia. And after 56 years of independence, we are still fighting over Melayu, Cina & India. This is unbelievable.

We have all the first class facilities but sadly our mentality is still down at the 3rd world level.

Regardless of which party that you're voting for, do it for Malaysia

Are you ready?

This will be my first time voting. I'm excited. No, jakun is the best word to describe how I feel towards the coming 13th general election. Yes, you read it right - JAKUN!

I couldn't be bothered to vote during the last GE simply because I don't feel the need to do so. And plus, I was still studying at that time. I don't have commitment yet and if it wasn't because of my husband who has been consistently brain-washing me with all these political issues and how it effects our daily life, I don't think I would still register myself as a voter.

Sekarang dah lain, especially when you are working and pretty much aware of what is happening around you, one needs to vote.

Honestly, it wouldn't change that much. The current government will still rule whether you like it or not. But, the question that has been raised by most people - will they be able to get the parliament 2/3 majority? And this is where the excitement comes. 

With all the political dramas that have been happening for the past few years, this general election will determine who speaks the truth.

And as a voter who will be voting in Selangor, will Selangor falls under BN after all the heavy advertising that they've done? "Sayangi Selangor, Yakini BN" 

I personally think that it is unnecessary to do such advertising and to shout how BN has help in developing Selongor. It is showing that you are actually focusing more in Selangor than any other states for that matter. What happen to Kelantan, Terengganu, Sabah or Sarawak? Aren't they as important as Selangor? But why Selangor? You are doing a good cause for a wrong reason.

But anyhow, lets just wait for 5th May to come as it will determine who the next government will be.
