Best I Ever Had

After a long waited months, I have finally received the official results of the job application that the parents have been hoping for yesterday evening. Alhamdulillah, I have successfully failed in getting the job position as applied. It was such a relieved but I'm not going to lie by saying that I'm 100% happy with the results. OK, maybe 90% happy and grateful and syukur teramat sangat for not getting the position but there's still 10% of me hoping that I would've succeeded for the fact that I've reached the final stage which is the Interview with The SPA people. Penat kot to go through 3 stages of test before finally receiving the job offer. Dah rasa macam application for a Prime Minister position dah but as I always tell myself, Allah knows what's best for His ummah. There's always Hikmah behind every doings and I believe Allah knows that PTD wasn't the right one for me and I'm grateful for that.

But I know my parents were disappointed with the results. I told them the moment I reached home from work and glad that they were able to take it. I explained and Alhamdulillah, they understand. In fact, I've already had the feeling of not getting the job the moment I step out from the interview room. The session started 45 minutes late as the interviewers were being unpunctual and as skeptical as they can be, my answers to all questions asked were being questioned twice.

After all, I'm happy with my current job. Though the workload kills every braincells that I have but I'm happy. I received so much this year; career wise, family, relationship and I can say that I'm economically stable now compared to before and for the fact that Allah bless us with an additional member to our little small family (which I will write soon), tak boleh lah nak tamak nak dapat semua kan?! So I'm happy. After all, I'm not feeling good taking other people's hard work as my income. I rather work like a dog day and night earning my own cents than taking someone's else hard work.

Speaking of which, I have to stop now. Shall continue later (when I have the time). Got to get back to work. I'm all glued at the office while the husband of mine is enjoying his lifetime moment watching Liverpool's match at Bukit Jalil.

Happy weekend peeps!

May 2011

Sorry for the long hiatus (eleh, as if there's anyone cares). A lot has happened throughout my days in the month of May and I must say that they were the pretty good ones. I shall post them one by one once I'm able to do so because currently, my physical condition doesn't allow me to be as productive as before which will also be revealed soon, Insyaallah!

But for the time being, allow me to share with you the gift I received from Media Prima Group for winning their SMS competition couple of weeks ago. *eksen sikit lah*

A one year validity and I'm keeping it for the year end sale.

Coz I am very lucky.

Some people are just so....... fortunate. Minta apa semua dapat. Minta lah apa saja, you name it, everything under the sun, CONFIRM dapat without having to work hard for it, without having to earn it, without having to think twice even before asking.

I was fortunate too......for not being raised as fortunate as "some people". I don't get the chance to ask my parents everything I feel like having/owning. Everything that I owned or have had were either from my yearly birthday celebrations (it's the only event where I'm able to request for material stuff) or gifts I received for achieving good results for exams which happened once in the blue moon (Ohh! I went to a school where 75%  for a Chemistry paper for a midterm exam is considered as very weak. Imagine the pressure that I have to go through because your classmate got 99% for the very same paper). But, how much can a girl like me have? But I still live. After all, education is more important than earning material stuff. That's what I always thought and for the fact that I was not born in a wealthy family. Spending recklessly is not an option. It's all about prioritizing. And I'm glad that I'm raised that way. At least, I learn how to appreciate my life more. And the feeling of using my own hard earning now is more satisfying, don't you think so?! I know I am. Plus, I'm able to give back to my parents now and it's even more satisfying.

But kids nowadays, hurmmmm...entahlah! Minta lah apa saja. Everything will be served on the plate for them even without asking. They are just so.....fortunate.

Nah! Not that I'm jealous or what. Ok, Maybe I am, a bit! I mean, there's nothing wrong with showering your children with everything under the sun but at least, make them feel like they deserve it. I don't know. Maybe because I'm used to how I was raised. My dad was pretty much strict. We don't get the chance to enjoy life luxuriously. Of course I'm not happy with that. But look at where it brought me. Orang cakap, "bersusah-susah dahulu, bersenang-senang kemudian". Dan cakap orang itu adalah amat tepat sekali.

And I'm definitely going to raise my future children exactly like how I was raised. You gotta work hard to deserve something not by just asking. Tak gitu?!

Labour Day

Had an ohh-so-some stay at The Legend Water Chalets, thanks to the girls for the wedding gift. I got all the rest that I needed. Though the journey from KL to Port Dickson took us nearly 2 and a half hours due to the heavy traffic at PLUS Highway yesterday but we managed to reach the place safe and sound. We arrived just at the right time for late lunch cum early dinner. We were starving to death I must say. But it was all good.

Good news for us, we were upgraded to Premium Chalet for an unknown reason. I dare not ask why, I took the room card and headed straight to our chalet. It was pack with families, group of friends and even couples staying at the beautiful-well-maintained chalets. There were guards everywhere, making rounds almost every hour to check on the chalets. Safety is all been taken care off. Thumbs up!

We had fun. Mestilah, free stay kan?! Will definitely be here again, with the girls perhaps?!
