Because we're "too cool for school"

My company hosted the 2014 teambuilding + annual dinner last weekend. Had it at The Lost World of Tambun, Ipoh and I arrived home with an aching legs. Made a smart move applying for a day leave today to rest. Can't imagine if I have to go to work today with an aching legs. Jalan pun dah tak betul.

Anyway, we were not allowed to bring our camera/phone during the teambuilding activities as it involved walking/running/swimming in the lake/pool. I only have pictures during the annual dinner. Itu pun tak banyak. I was busy eating and having fun.

The theme was "Back to School" and everyone was dressing up to the theme. Very sporting of them!

Sunday-cum-Monday syndrome

It has been a hectic month. Oh, faster ends December, I am already tired with zero energy level left.

All I want is a peaceful mind, lying by beach just like what I had 2 years ago. Oh, I miss!

Tomorrow is going to be the beginning of another long week.

May the force be with us all, amin.

Flickr

Few years ago, when I was still young and free (by this, does not mean that I am old and boring, heh!), I developed interest in Photography. This, I believe was contributed due to the undergrad programme that I enrolled which involved me in being creative. One of the way in developing one's creative senses is by capturing as much photos as one can. By this, does not mean that one has to capture their own syok sendiri photo. Itu sudah semestinya bukan creative. It helps in remembering things that you see and develop it into a creative output. It can be in a form of painting, computer designing, animation and whatnot, you get the idea. From this exercise, I developed interest in Photography.

But of course, since I was still studying, my money was definitely coming from the parents. Hence, I don't really have the guts to ask them to buy me a DSLR. Dengan cerita yang penuh kesedihan, I actually bought my first ever compact camera with my own kumpul-duit money. Over the years, I started to develop photography skills and memandangkan Izwan (boyfriend then) decided to get himself a new DSLR, it was an opportunity for me to enhance my interest-cum-hobby. We started to go to some interesting places around KL to take photos.

Over the years, the interest suddenly fade away. It could be the reason of maturity (eh chewah!) or maybe I was so much into getting married and building a family of my own, I have stop pursuing my so-called hobby.

Pendek cerita sebab lunch hour dah nak habis. I googled my name (who doesn't right?) and I came across a link to my flickr account which I have totally forgotten about sampai nak login pun dah tak ingat password.

These are some of the photos that I have in my flickr account. Tak ingat password, I can only print-screened it. Kesian betol.

Maybe I should restart my hobby again with a new camera perhaps?

Sekali lafaz, sah!

About a month ago, one of my closest friends has officially signed the agreement letter of becoming a devoted loving wife to her beloved husband. The solemnization was held at her house the night of Merdeka Day followed by her reception on the next day and the groom's side the following day - one whole stretch!

The wedding prep was done about a year ago assuming that she'll pass her ACCA exams in November 2011 which she did! The initial plan was to have her wedding somewhere early this year but somehow the news of her sister and brother wanting the same thing as she is which is getting married, she decided to have hers in between them siblings. Oh, I can assure you that there were hell lot of dramas happening and finally, August 31, 2012 marked the day that ends her singlehood.

Syomir did the dress while she was "painted" nicely by Najeeb. She looked stunning in that dress.

Dengan sekali lafaz Adil sah sebagai suami. I laughed during the akah, don't ask me why.

I always love akah nikah ceremony. It reminds me of my own. You can feel the love aura in the room. You can see how in love the bride and groom are.

The reception took place the next day at Dewan Perdana Felda.

Sekali sekala nak glamour
It was a good ceremony. Though it was a bit delayed but it was a good ceremony.

To Taj and Adil, congratulations and may this new journey be showered with lots of love and happiness. Shit happens and you may find that your partner is too annoying for you to handle but never give up hope on each other. Never stop communicating. Once you done that, it's a gone case! Love much xo.

3 down, 1 to go.

Syawal 1433H, Aildilfitri 2012

My lil family

Family potrait

Nenek & atok with lil Iman

Cerita basi but who cares!

We had our first day of Aidilfitri here in Kuala Lumpur. Rotation is essential for our marriage ye! So this year is my year. Well, our definition of raya rotation means where we celebrate our 1st day of raya. Like last year, we celebrated our 1st day of raya at Izwan's hometown so for this year we celebrate here. By that, it doesn't mean that we don't go back to Alor Star (gila! nak kena pancung) we went back on the 2nd day of Aidilfitri and shared an equal fun of raya.

What makes it so special? Isn't it obvious already? Of courselah Iman my lil munchkin. She was the centre of attraction. In fact, she was the centre of everything during our raya celebration. We had to scout for her 1st raya kurung (coz I am super excited to get her one) few days before raya. Mom had her kurung too but unfortunately, the tailor couldn't made it for raya. See, how fortunate this lil girl is sampaikan nenek pergi hantar tailor to make her kurung. Even when we balik kampung Izwan pon, Iman was the centre of attraction. Biasalah, cucu pertama on both sides. Begitulah layannya.

Apart from beraya-ing, my brother-in-law had his engagement on the 3rd day of raya. We weren't just balik kampung for raya, we balik to menghantar orang bertunang. Helped my mother-in-law with the preparation the night before and hell man, it was tiring. Surpisingly, I still have my hidden talent in creative design as I helped my MIL in decorating the hantarans *duduk bakul angkat sendiri*

I had a fun raya. Alhamdulillah.

Though Syawal has passed, I would like to seek forgiveness for all my wrongdoings. Maaf zahir & batin.

Ladies of the house

After all the scrumptious food I had during Syawal, I have now grown number of pimples scattered all over my face. Those oily yummylicious food and sweet taste drinks were the course of the unwanted growth. Sigh!

Nevertheless, I had a fun first, second and third day of Syawal in Kedah; just like how I wanted it to be. Alhamdulillah.

And I am now back to the city. To make it worst, I am now back in the office enjoying my day doing nothing. How's everyone's raya doing? Hope you had a fun one too!

And the begining of Ramadan

They came by surprise yesterday. Yanti called to ajak lepak since she'll be at the nearby area to get her stuff done. It was half and hour past 4pm and I already had Pisang Goreng panas with hot tea on the table. So I ajak-ed them to the house instead for tea break. She said she'll be a bit late that she had to cancel. I was getting prepared for dinner pon at that time and since they're still around, I invited them for dinner and knowing Faiz, they agreed to have dinner with us yesterday dengan alasan "bila lagi nak merasa Puan Ajlaa punya air tangan". Little that I know, Yanti invited the rest of the crew to the house. Konon-konon nak kasi surprise. Zarina came in by surprise around Maghrib time. My chicken masak cili and kobis masak lemak santan were already cooked for four people. Nasib baik lagi 2 orang tuh tak jadi datang, else they would have to eat an empty plate.

This is the first time I cook for outsiders other than the usual 4 people; mom, dad, kakak and Izwan. Tak taulah apa rasanya. But Alhamdulillah, lauk yang tak seberapa habis licin. It's either they were too hungry or my food were simply delicious. I think because they were hungry. Heh!

They lepak-ed for awhile for photo session since Izwan bought his new I-don't-know-what lense, he wanted to test it out with them. Ini lah hasilnya bertangkap gambar di padang gelap.

Thanks for coming guys. Kalau siapa-siapa sakit perut saya minta maaf.

Oh btw, with this opportunity I would like to wish all Muslims, Salam Ramadhan. Semoga ibadah kita sama-sama diterimaNya, Insyaallah. I would also like to seek for forgiveness from all friends and family members who I've hurt intentionally or unintentionally throughout the years. Kalau ada terkasar bahasa, moga harap dimaafkan. May we receive the barakah of Ramadhan, Insyaallah.

Malaysia vs Singapore

We lost the game. What more can I say. Disappointed but hey, they deserve a huge gigantic hug and congratulations upon reaching the level. We have never reached this stage before. Syabas! Though we lost but we fought throughout the game. To Malaysia goalie, Khairul Fahmi, you did us proud!

But there's a slight disappointment to see our fellow Malaysians "boo"-ing the Singapore players as they entered the field. Oh yes, I went to watch the game at Bukit Jalil last Thursday. Izwan got two last minute free tickets and he rang me at 4pm saying that I need to reach Bukit Jalil the soonest I can to avoid traffic. Dengan perut yang tak berapa nak boyot, redah-redah naik LRT ke Bukit Jalil. Alhamdulillah, I arrived safe and sound.

OK now back to the "boo"-ing. I can't deny how annoying Singapore players were during the game. But who to blame? I bet if Malaysia were in their shoes, we would have done the same thing. That's part and parcel of the game. They have to fake it to waste the game time to avoid from loosing. But super annoying sampai rasa nak baling dengan kasut berapi-api. Sorry for being emotional but honestly, they were "playing" it too much but on our side, why the hell do we have to behave with such behavior. It shows how uncivilized we are. Period!

Needless to say, here are the pictures during the event. Credit to Izwan for the pictures as he was on duty that night hence the nice clearer pictures during the game. Duduk meja Editor memanglah gambar clear.

Full house

My seat was at the top floor of the stadium. Thanks to the massive crowd. We made friends too. Sama-sama sokong dan bersorak. Fun!

The after party

Met Yanti, Kak Long and Faiz during the game. I didn't know that they were there too. The arrangement was made by Izwan to make sure that I'll be safe during the game. Thanks to Izwan's bestfriend Jimi, who was being the sweetest by making sure that this Ibu mengandung selamat. Hey, who said Ibu mengandung can't enjoy good game at the stadium?!

Labour Day

Had an ohh-so-some stay at The Legend Water Chalets, thanks to the girls for the wedding gift. I got all the rest that I needed. Though the journey from KL to Port Dickson took us nearly 2 and a half hours due to the heavy traffic at PLUS Highway yesterday but we managed to reach the place safe and sound. We arrived just at the right time for late lunch cum early dinner. We were starving to death I must say. But it was all good.

Good news for us, we were upgraded to Premium Chalet for an unknown reason. I dare not ask why, I took the room card and headed straight to our chalet. It was pack with families, group of friends and even couples staying at the beautiful-well-maintained chalets. There were guards everywhere, making rounds almost every hour to check on the chalets. Safety is all been taken care off. Thumbs up!

We had fun. Mestilah, free stay kan?! Will definitely be here again, with the girls perhaps?!
