Bucket List #10: Nadayu62 Melawati

Syukur Alhamdulillah, tiada kata yang boleh diucapkan selain kata-kata syukur yang teramat sangat. Rasa macam tak percaya pun ada.

If you have been following this blog (cheh, budget-budget famous gitew), I did mentioned over my previous post (dah tak ingat post yang mana satu) on my Bucket List. Bucket List ni adalah list-list benda that I would like to do/achieve in my life, insya Allah. And one of it is to own a house.

The process of owning/wanting to buy a house is indeed a very lonnnggggg process; from doing the research, do a little bit of survey, to constant checking on your savings account.

Research isn't just about googling the new development area but it involves going to the actual development place. I think I did mentioned that my radius of property has to be within my parents house area which means it can't go any further than Melawati, Ampang, Wangsa Maju and Keramat area. Contohnya, Shah Alam and Damansara are currently developing new housing areas. Putrajaya/Cyberjaya is too but these are the kind of locations that I will receive a straight "No" face from my parents even before mentioning it to them.

You may wonder, why I have to be very concern over my parents' decision. You may think that they are the ones who will be paying for the house right? Well, firstly, no, they are not paying for it. Not a single scents. And secondly, I have a kid and maybe I'll have more in the future and that I need someone that I can trust to be there at least to monitor the maid/nanny if I leave the house (read: you do know that I am currently staying with my parents right?). Sending my kids to the nursery is not an option. The world is dangerous. You can't trust no one except for your own family.

Unless, Izwan can convince her mother to come and stay with us in KL and look after Iman. Hah! memang tidak mungkin itu akan berlaku.

So anyway, back to my property story.

After almost a year of searching, fighting with Izwan, convincing my parents that I REALLY need to get a house of my own and convincing myself that I have sufficient money to pay for the instalment; I can proudly announce that we have officially bought our first property together. Yes, it's a joint-buy. Apa guna ada suami kalau tak mau berkongsi rumah bukan?

Nadayu62 Melawati - our first property together, Alhamdulillah

The house is scheduled to ready in mid-2017. I have ample time to kumpul duit untuk bayar bulan-bulan nanti, lol!

A very small unit (950sqft), fully-furnished and guarded. I don't need a big house as I don't plan to build a big family. Small house is easier to manage since I don't plan to hire a full time maid and it's low density. So taklah rasa macam duduk kat flat?

Ini adalah sangat penting sebab kitchen dia is to die for!! Harap-harap dapatlah serupa ini.

It's a Leasehold property. Well, I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not but I know Chinese won't buy this kind of property sebab dia Leasehold (I think).

All this is just a traffic light away from my parents' house sebab tu dorang pon setuju.

To be honest, it's a little bit pricey for a 950sqft unit. But what I'm paying is the location. Only a Melawati-ans will understand the beauty and the safety of Taman Melawati. Others might thing that I'm paying a lot more for a small size unit but like I said, I'm paying for the location. It's 30 minutes away from KL and it is still surrounded by the greens. Hence why the high value.

I'm excited for it but it is still a long way to go till it's completion. Who knows I might turn it into an investment. But for now, syukur Alhamdulillah yang tidak terhingga.

A landed property is stilla dream. One day maybe, insya Allah.

Because... I want to travel more

One of the things I want to do before I die is to travel more. I wasn't fortunate enough to visit countries around the world during my younger days because my parents bukanlah dari golongan orang-orang yang berada. But having said that, I am so very fortunate as my parents always bring us to visit states in Malaysia. We have visited all the states in Malaysia except Sabah (because my mother thinks it is not a safe place to visit). Hence growing up, I have set my goal to visit as many countries as possible before I die and to bring my parents along.

I told my husband that even though we are married, that will not stop us from traveling. One of the reason why we got married in the first place was because we want to travel together. Kumpul duit dan kita pergi berjalan bersama.

I guess Allah is fair to His ummah. I am very fortunate to be working with this company as they always plan for their annual company trip overseas. To date, I have traveled to Bangkok and Melbourne for the company trip. I missed Taiwan three years ago because I was pregnant and hopefully (if I am still with the company) I am able to visit other places during the company trip.

I put a mark on places I have visited on my TripAdvisor account sebagai pemberi semangat untuk travel more.

Walaupun sedih melihat jumlah tempat yang telah di-visit (compared to other people), but I have to say that these visited places were all self-sponsored.

Unlike others, they were fortunate to be able to visit other countries because their parents were able to bring them there or cukup pandai untuk belajar overseas (especially in the European countries allowing them to travel within the continent). My traveling plan becomes more personal because I work hard for it. Tak guna duit sponsorship or duit mak bapak. Jadi, sentimental value tu lebih sikit.

I hope I can travel more this year and the years to come sebelum membuat plan untuk menambah anak. Tambah anak expenses pon bertambah.

Soon, Insya Allah

To a whole new beginning. Hoping for a brighter future, Insya Allah.

There are two things that I learned throughout this whole "chasing for a brighter future":-

  1. Hikmah
  2. The power of do'a
Why hikmah? I was seriously down by rejection; disappointed much! But through this rejection led me to a new opportunity. Never to give up. Allah SWT closes one door for me but He opens thousands of opportunities for me to look forward to. I have to believe in it and have faith in what ever that I'm working on, insya Allah dibukankan jalan.

Secondly, the power of do'a, MasyaAllah! I am truly humbled by it. Never to under estimate the power of do'a. And one have to believe in it in order to witness its miracle, MasyaAllah - usaha, berdoa and tawakal adalah yang sebaik-baiknya.

It's still too early for me to announce but I hope this will be "it", Insya Allah. Tapi, kalau bukan ini ketentuanNya, saya redha kerana ini adalah usaha saya.

My 1st property hunting: Seville @ Melawati

Early this year, I have set myself my own 2014 KPI. There is only 1 KPI that I hope to achieve by year end - to have my own property for investment or for my own stay. Turning 29 this year, I believe it is the right time for me to move on having a place that I can call my own and for the fact that I had a huge fight with my dad that I decided to leave the house.

I have been religiously looking for potential housing development especially within Taman Melawati radar. This is for an obvious reason - Iman. Having a stay-in maid is not my option neither to sending her to a nursery. Hence, having a place within Taman Melawati area allows me to send her to my parent's house just to look out for her while I'm away to work.

My priority is of course a landed property. It has been my dream to have a landed house where I can do my own gardening and to make it as cosy as possible. Tetapi, looking at how the economy has transformed, I don't think I can ever afford any landed property. They are all within the range of RM1 Million and above and of course these are all located within Taman Melawati radar. Unless, if I don't mind staying very far away like Shah Alam or Rawang area. Hence, I have open-up my searching to Condominium units.

There is a new developed Condominium located at Taman Melawati (near Azwan Ali's house if you know) which is called Seville @ Melawati. I gatal-gatal registered myself with one of the property portal for this Condo. Couple of days later, an agent called asking if I'm interested to check their units which my reply was a "Yes" (tanpa berfikir panjang). We arranged a meet-up date and I went to see the unit during the set date.

It's a 1,007sqf unit with 3 bedroom + 2 bathroom which they are selling for RM500K.

The master bedroom. My angle of photography doesn't do justice. It was actually bigger than this

The most important component - the bathroom

The pool area and look at the view

And I fell in love with the unit immediately. I can already imagine how I want the house to be with the furniture arrangement and whatnot. It was like love at the first sight. The hall area is not that big which is fine for me but the 2 bedrooms are huge. However, the downside to this unit is their kitchen. A bit too small for me. Although, I did not cook that much (more to don't cook at all), but I hope to change that. I would love to cook or to start cooking if we ever move to our own place.

For me personally, I think the selling price is reasonable. You can't find anything lower than RM500K nowadays and 1,007sqf is an ideal space for a Condo but unfortunately, my husband has his own opinion about it. We decided not to take this unit. Disappointed much! Kecewa big time!

But I guess there's hikmah to it. Tak apalah, tak ada rezeki.

But that doesn't stop me from searching for my dream home. I learned a lot from it. I was told that the selling price for the Condo was between RM300K-RM350K during the planning period. Damn, cheap weyh! But upon completion, the selling price increased by 42% and it will keep on increasing depending on the demand. Melampau tinggi harganya!

With this information leads me to registering myself to all of the new development sites although they are still within the planning stages. Nanti lepas tu baru kita check the type of houses they are selling and the selling price.

I hope to achieve my KPI by year end, Insya Allah. If anyone of you know any new housing development, please do not hesitate to inform me. In fact, I'm currently handling a new property client tapi kat Cyberjaya. The housing plan is also in Cyberjaya. Driving to Cyberjaya took me 2 hours. Kalau tinggal Cyberjaya lepas tu kerja kat Damansara bazir minyak and toll. I spent RM10 on toll and minyak tank habis setengah. Rumah murah tapi expenses lain mahal tak guna jugak kan?! Sigh!

Hello 2014

I hope it is still not too late for me to wish everyone a good "Happy New Year". How's your new year celebration? Mine? I had a full 5 days of relax; free from work stress. We went back to my husband's hometown and ya Allah, nikmatnya terasa sangat. For the first time in my life that I was totally worried-free. I switched off my phone. No actually, Maxis 3G line was superbly bad at Kodiang hence I do not receive any emails alert. The weather was good - bright sunny day throughout our 5 days of stay. I feel peace!

This was my everyday view. So peaceful!

The plan was to make a day trip to Langkawi but unfortunately, the weather doesn't permit us. Not that it rains but according to my mother-in-law, the wind was so strong that it's not safe to go there at the moment. Note: Tsunami happened during year end remember?

So we decided to just stay in and enjoy the view with the strong wind as if we were on a beach holiday.

Anyway, looking back at 2013, there were a lot of things happened on that year. It wasn't a good year for me. 2013 was a year where I broke down, demotivated, lost at some point, hated myself at some point, being impatient and in short, I wasn't being myself most of the time. I allowed myself to be controlled by my emotions. I'm back to becoming a stubborn me. To summarize, I hated myself in 2013.

However, it wasn't all bad throughout the 365 days. It has it good days too. I managed to traveled to few places - Sydney and Bangkok. Got promoted (biggest achievement, Alhamdulillah). Started to pay my PTPTN loan again after 2 years of not paying them and started to put in money in my ASB account (again!). These two activities happened in quarter 4 of 2013 (LOL). That's all! See, I didn't do much in 2013. I was busy being emotional.

So in 2014, I have set few goals that I hope to achieve. I don't normally set any new year resolutions but these are the things that I wish to accomplish by year end.

  1. I hope I can finally settle down with a house. I've been doing some survey and I have set few potential locations but somehow, I am not confident enough to sign the paper. Research is still in progress so, we'll see how.
  2. To continue saving - means I have to put in money in my ASB account every single month. Biar pon sikit janji ada. I believe in "sikit-sikit, lama-lama jadi bukit". The aim is not to collect RM10K by year end but instead to create the saving habit in me.
  3. To finally complete with my Masters so that I can graduate in 2015 (estimated graduation month: March 2015, Insya Allah)
  4. To spend more quality time with my lil muchkin which was lacking in 2013. Poor girl! I'll make it up to you girl, I promise!
  5. Most importantly, I want to be close to my Creator the Almighty. I have been neglecting my responsibility as a Muslimin and I hope this year, that area can be improved which leads me to being more patience, strengthen my faith, more rational in thinking and Sabar!
  6. And finally, to spend more quality time with my family - both sides. Mak mertua dah complain balik Kedah jarang-jarang. So 2014, insya Allah, kerap balik.
These are all achievable. Tak susah pon. All it needs is consistency. Insya Allah, I can do this.

I hope 2014 will be a good year for everyone despite the increasing cost of living. Happy new year my friends. Enjoy the coming 362 days of 2014.

Canon M

Couple of weeks ago, I had to become a mystery shopper for one of my client. The task was to pretend to be someone who has interest in purchasing a DSLR camera and we have to snap photos of the complete set of the DSLR camera that we were looking for.

There were 4 of us - 2 from my side and 2 from the creative agency side. During the first day of being the so-called-unprofessional-mystery-shoppers, we covered Fahrenheit, Lot 10, Sungai Wang and Low Yat Plaza. Yes, we covered all floors of the mentioned malls that sell DSLR cameras.

The main objective of this task is to track the selling bar code for each of the product. This has something to do with the local sales which is hard for me to explain in a written form. Tapi to cut things short, while being the mystery shopper, saya sudah terjatuh cinta with one of the camera that I saw while completing the task.

Though it was tiring but I learned a lot about DSLR cameras. Macam-macam jenis and fungsi each model represents and one of them yang telah terjatuh cinta dengan is the Canon M series.

They have it in 4 different colors for Malaysia market - red, black, grey and white. While I was at one of the camera shop in Low Yat, they gave me the complete set of Canon M in white and I fell in love with it at the first sight.

Canon M is labelled as a mini DSLR as it comes in a size of a compact camera but having a DSLR function. Unlike the normal DSLR cameras where lenses can be shared, this camera can only use its own lenses. More exclusivity in that sense.

The downside of this camera is that its performances - not as good as the normal DSLR. Hence why they only have roughly about 3-4 sets per shop, limited addition. Canon most probably will not be producing another model of this type due to the low performances. But hey, this is for my personal use and not for photography business. With the size that it has, I can easily carry it whenever I go and put it inside my huge bag.

Kalau dah suka nak kata apa lagi kan?

So, I make my proposal to the husband and ................ he approves it. Yeay!!!!

Not sure when will I can finally get it but according to him, by January 2014, insya Allah. Amin. Oh, I'm so looking forward to this. Really!

A dream to BaitulMaqdis

Earlier this year, my Maklong proposed for our this year's family trip to go to Palestine through one of the trusted travel agency. I was contemplating at first as security is my major issue especially when I have to carry Iman together with me. But after much consideration, we decided to proceed with the plan as it has been our dream to visit Baitul Maqdis as Al-Aqsa mosque is located in the district area.

But of course, with the current situation that is happening in the middle east, we have to ensure that our security is being taken care off.

Based on the itinerary that was provided to us, we are going to Jerusalem through Egypt. We were also being informed that only small number of visitors are allow to enter Jerusalem and with this travel agency, we are able to do so under full security assurance. Well, my mother was not convinced at all with the assurance hence we did not proceed with the plan. Glad that we didn't!

Having said that, I'm actually feeling sad that we are unable to visit the holy land. It has been a dream to be able to perform solat at Al-Aqsa mosque, to visit the tomb of most para Nabi and to witness the life of Muslim brothers and sisters who have no major problem performing their duty as a Muslim regardless of having to share the piece of land with the Jews and the Christians. Isn't that amazing?

Dr. Halina (the wife of our astronaut man) posted her visit to the holy land quite sometime ago. It's amazing how she puts it in words and her photos, Masyaallah, she's very lucky to be able to step foot at the holy land. She visited most of the historical places and having to carry 2 of her children (a 4 months old baby and a 2 years old toddler) is amazing, Subhanallah!

Furthermore, last week's Jejak Rasul episode showcased their visit to the holy land. Masyaallah, bertambah-tambah sangat terpanggil untuk ke sana. It's amazing to see how Muslim survived in a country ruled by the Israelis and how Muslims' able to stand together with the Jews and the Christians under the same roof. Subhannallah.

Kalau kita faham dan mendalami sejarah perkembangan Islam di sana sangat mengkagumkan.

But then again, I guess Allah knows what's best for His ummah. I guess it is not our time yet to visit the holy land but Insyaallah kalau ada rezeki, mahu sahaja melawat tanah suci itu.

Raya resolution

Every end of the year, most people will set themselves with resolutions - nak jadi lebih kaya, jadi lebih rajin, nak jadi seorang yang lebih baik, you get the jinx right?! While I, on the other hand, have never set any resolutions in my life for all I know, I will never follow.

This year is somehow different. I decided to have 1 resolution, and 1 resolution only. Funny thing is, I want to achieve this goal by Raya, in shaa Allah. It sounds a bit cocky (I think!) but this resolution is something that I have been working on throughout this year. Very challenging one, I tell you!

My goal is by raya, I should be able to forgive and forget.

But why raya?

It is because Raya is where you actually seek for forgiveness from your family and friends. If I am unable to forgive them, I am actually faking all my "forgiveness" and I don't want to do that. Being the stubborn me, I have no problem in forgiving, but my biggest issue is to forget. I tend to keep things in me to the extend that I become depressed over things that I shouldn't be and that is what I want to improve as much as I can.

There are people that I really want to forgive for things that they have done to my family. Due to that, I have been keeping my distance from them from all occasions. I know it is not right to judge. But what they did really hurts and it is not my call to judge them, I know that! But like I said, being the stubborn me, I tend to take things seriously and yea.... keeping distance is what I did. I just want to ..... forgive and forget!

In-conjunction with this coming Hari Raya, Watson is also doing a Raya resolution campaign. Wow, lucky me! I got to put my resolution and hope to meet Faizal Tahir.

September 2012

I have so many things to write but I just couldn't find the time to post it.

  1. Raya post - Raya pon dah habis.
  2. Iman's first experience having solids - Iman pon dah nak dekat 9 months old, 3 months on solids.
  3. Bff wedding celebration which is now close to 3 weeks overdue.
  4. My first week experience of becoming a student again - exciting, exhausting, interesting, inspiring, mixed feelings. This is just the first week. I have hundreds of weeks to go.
I promise myself to write again. These 4 posts listed above as a start BUT not today. I will try to squeeze some time between lunch hour (before 2.30pm) to write at least a post a day. Well, not that I write a good article just that I need to polish my writing skills coz sure is I'm gonna need it anytime soon.

And the fact that I can only update during working days because I only have access to the internet at the office. This is not because I don't have internet connection at home, just that the husband and the sister are fighting over MY laptop to do their stuff - work, social networking and whatevernots. Limited source to access the internet. Big sigh!

On the other hand, I'm still actively breastfeed my baby Iman. Big accomplishment as I was struggling during Ramadan *clap hands*. Syukur, Alhamdulillah. My hard work never stops.

Happy day peeps!

Rezeki Ramadan

I received a call from one of the lecturer last month persuading me to apply for this programme. Well, the intention has always been there for me to pursue with Masters but I never really go and apply. The deal is to let the husband to continue first and then I'll think about applying. But the call that I received really, finally push me to apply. It was only a 2 days process as the lecturer helped me in applying. Actually, the application date has passed but the lecturer really helped me with this. I settled with my application in just one night, submitted the form to her the following morning and made the payment on the same day itself. Settled!

But I wasn't hoping to get. Ha! Jiwa kacau.

So, last Friday I thought of checking on my application. Sekali dapat. Alhamdulilllah.

It was actually a mixed feeling for me. I'm happy and clueless at the same time. I don't know what to feel or how to react on this. Dulu, time degree bila dapat tahu application dapat, melompat-lompat bagai nak rak, yang ini I seriously sat on my chair blurry don't know how to react with no feelings or whatsoever. Clueless.

I waited awhile before texting my husband to inform him on the news. Clearly, he was more excited than I am.

One thing for sure that worries me is how am I going to juggle with work, family, Iman all at the same time? My working hours doesn't always fix. I'm still actively breastfeeding, nanti sure susu akan berkurangan. Musnahlah harapan nak bf-ing till Iman 2yo. Plus, Iman is just 7mo. But after consulting with my family, I am going to go for this and pray for the best.

When I think about it, it actually a great platform for me to pursue. I mean, I have always wanted to apply and this is my opportunity. Of course, there will be obstacles. Life isn't easy right? I have to juggle and face it with strong body, mind and soul. Chewahh.

I accept this as Rezeki Ramadan. Rezeki anak juga. The good always say, bersusah-susah dahulu, bersenang-senang kemuadian. So, I shall bersusah dahulu for a bersenang kemudian, Insyaallah.

Go! Go! Ajlaa!

1st May 2012

It's been a roller-coaster ride for me for the past few weeks and I gotta tell you, being a mom is ain't that easy. I wonder how moms did it. How my mother did it, masyaallah, truly amazing! If it wasn't because of the strong support system, I think I've collapsed myself into the drain. Standing in between work and family is tough! Very tough! But I ain't giving up.

Am going back to work tomorrow after having a blissful 6 days of leave, spent it with the family heavenly. Went to Kedah for the second Aqiqah for Iman. How lucky she is to have TWO Aqiqah(s) made for her. Dropped by Penang for a day. Will definitely go back to Penang again. A day tour isn't enough. Oh! Iman had her first swim during the stay. But it wasn't last long. She cried after 30 mins in the water. Crying for sleep. Babies, what else can they do besides sleeping and feeding. Eh, dah lari tajuk. I wanted to write how lazy and not-so-happy I am to have to go to work tomorrow. Sigh!

Oh! It was a bad idea to sync the phone with the office email. Bad! Bad! Idea. Oh, wth! I'm already on it. Bohoo.

My lil girl has turned 4 months last week and we went to the clinic to get Iman circumcised yesterday morning. She cried of course but not because of the pain but because both of her hands had to be hold back to let the doctor do the procedure. Well, to be honest, this is the first time I'm actually witnessing a baby girl get circumcised. She did good. Alhamdulillah.

After all the hard work (it is really HARD work), it all pays off after I had my evaluation with the bosses last week. I'm thankful and syukur with the Rezki. Rezeki anak. My hard work is being appreciated though it takes 3/4 of my time but it's all worth it.

After reading her post on getting her diving license at Perhentian, it cross my mind that I have been putting on hold on getting myself one. I was supposed to get mine 2 years ago but I decided to get married first and continue with it after the wedding. But belum sempat pon nak pergi honeymoon (which was 4 months after getting married) I got to know that I was 6weeks pregnant. Terpaksalah di hold kan semula and now after getting husband's permission, I am going to pursue getting my diver's license once my baby girl is big enough to not to tag with me for feeding. And since the cousin-in-law is now a certified diving trainer, it will be easier  for me to get my license. Wohoo! But before I can further dreaming of my license, let's get Iman what she needs first - being feed healthily.

My Tuesday is reaching to its end. Let Wednesday comes with happiness and less stress. I need more holiday for crying out loud.

Goodnight lovers.

Twenty Eleven

And the new year has finally arrived.

As much as I anticipated 2011, it's so sad that I have to say goodbye to 2010. It has been a very wonderful year for me as I have experienced lots of things during the year. A fair share of ups and downs. I don't mind repeating 2010 though but I don't see the point. It's new year, let the new adventure begins.

I don't have resolutions for the new year. I've never really had one before as I know that I may not follow. All I want for the new year is a happy life filled with love, joy and happiness surround me throughout the entire year. A healthy and blessed life with my loved ones; family and friends. And of course, the excitement of building my own family. And to strike some of the list from the Bucket List.

All I want is to be granted with lots and lots of patience as I am lack of those and to be more appreciative towards my loved ones. Not that I have not been appreciating them, it's just that sometimes, I took them for granted.

With this opportunity I would like to wish each and everyone of you a happy new year. May this new year brings happiness and joy to all of us.

Happy New Year lovers!

Tahun baru

I hope it is still not too late to wish all muslim Salam Maal Hijrah. May this new year bring happiness and fill with His barakah and rahmah, Insyaallah.

I guess it's about time for me to "renew" my new year's resolutions. Not that I have over the past years but it's going to be a hell of a new year for me this year. Am not going to set a long list of resolutions as I may not follow, I rather set a few that I can cope with.

So, here it goes:-
  1. Solat 5 waktu - I know I've been lacking some especially during working hours. I got caught up with work I tend to delay my solat and ended not performing them.
  2. It's about time to hormat suami - Since I'm going to be a wife this year, Insyaallah, I guess menghormati suami is part of the responsibility. I may need time to adjust with this but I'm going to try the best I can. Dah 25 tahun hidup buat kepala tau sendiri, tiba-tiba dah nak kena hidup berdua, yea, I definitely need time.
  3. To be more patience as I'm lacking of those.
  4. And last but not least, to be a good muslimah generally.

I guess that's about it. Let's see how it goes as I know that I'm going to have hard time coping with it.

Ohh btw, I have no idea that today is actually a public holiday, not till everyone has been asking me what's my plan for Tuesday and I was like "haaa, kenapa dengan tuesday? kerja lah". Then only I knew that Tuesday is a public holiday.

On the other hand, I got my baju nikah yesterday and I must say that I'm totally in love with the baju. Super love. As much as I want to post about it, I rather keep it to myself. Nanti hilang lah seri baju tu kalau tunjuk sekarang. Tak surprise lah nanti. Excited*excited

Ye, sayalah peminat Anuar Zain itu

I attended a wedding ceremony at Royale Chulan last Sunday night with my cousin. I was her plus one though but I wouldn't mind at all. I love......love attending weddings. The chance of being part of one's happy day makes me a happy person. Those beautiful....beautiful wedding dresses, the dias, the pretty.....pretty bride & groom and to be able to cuci mata, itu paling terbaik! Not much of the food though. Wedding food memang tak creative langsung. Same old! Same old!

The ceremony that I attended was a so-so. For the fact that I didn't know anyone there (I was a plus one remember?) jadi wedding itu agak keras bagi saya. But I love the concept of Songket that the groom's family chose. Every thing is Songket-related from the wedding card to the dais and even for the hall decoration. Baju tak payah cakap. Everyone practically wore Songket that night. It's pretty amazing you know. But like I said, the ceremony was so-so.

Till that ohhhhh...that cair voice singing loudly through the air......*faint*

Yes, that sexy voice belongs to none other than Anuar Zain.

He was at the wedding. He sang for the couple *faint kali kedua*. Apparently, he's the groom's cousin. So, he decided to bloom the wedding by singing two (2) songs that night. One was when the wedded couple walked through the aisle for the cake cutting and one was when....when everyone's jaw drop by the gorgeous voice of his. *faint lagi*

And that explains the status I have on my facebook. I would love to have him to sing during my wedding day although the possibilities of not getting is very high but I would still want to dream of his presence. Ahhhhhhh *cair*. And that also explains why I have his songs playing on loop for the past couple of days. Cair.

It's Anuar Zain week ye adik-adik. Excuse the kodiness but I'm in the mood for Anuar Zain. Nothing else matters!

So dear cousins, uncles & aunts, it would be much appreciated if you could surprise me by "inviting" Anuar Zain to sing for my wedding day and I promise to bake cookies for all of you for hari raya for the next 5 years. Kuih raya on me meng!

Mucho grasias!

tik tok tik tok......98 days......tik tok tik tok

Not to brag but.......I have another 98 days to go.....Woooooooo!!!! Which mean, I have less than 100 days to prepare, less than 100 days to get things done and less than 100 days before I officially have a room partner *teehee*.

Tiba-tiba hari ini saya rasa sungguh berdebar-debar dan MARAH *grrrr*

As we all know, I'm currently serving my one month notice. I tendered last Thursday due to the fight I mentioned on my previous post. Don't get me wrong, kalau tak berlakunya perselisihan faham pun I'm tendering cuma mungkin perasaannya saja yang tidak sama. Mungkin akan lebih berbelah-bahagi. But since that lady has created the "unwanted" scene, I tendered wholeheartedly.

Friday went not so well since the GM decided to be on his worst mood towards me and a colleague of mine kept on calling me jahat for no reason. And the lady boss has been acting cold since then.

Monday came with a surprise. Everyone from the building knew about my resignation including the tea lady. My oh my! How could it possibly be? I remember telling to one person only which was the GM since he was the one who received my resignation letter. The management knew about it coz, well, they have too right? They are the management team but what surprises me was the acknowledgment from the creative team and people in the studio. One by one came to me and asked about it. Does my resignation letter flew to every department or was it sent to a different tray before reaching the management table?

You guessed it right people! The lady boss just couldn't get over the fact that I'm leaving her. She has to tell and bragged about it to everyone. She discussed it over WIP, she talks about it during lunch (for all that I know she has been telling everyone during lunch hour for 3 days in a row now) and she also called her friends and discussed about it over the phone. She talks in her typical chinese language and thought that I don't understand. But sorry lady, I work here for a year and a half, I understand chinese pretty well. It's disgusting. Keji sungguh keji.

What did I do that makes her go kachiong about it? I'm leaving and there's nothing you can do. No one can do anything about it. Just shut the hell up and MOVE ON! People leave. They come and go and nothing you can do about it.

I'm not looking for enemies here. I respect her as my superior. Though we might not reached the same kind of understanding but she is still my superior; the respect that I have to give for being a boss. But she has officially crossed the line and it's intolerable. I feel sorry for her. Really, I am!

Everyone seem to get the wrong picture. No, I don't leave because of the money. I don't leave because I don't like this place. I like it here so much I was having difficulties deciding whether should I or shouldn't I leave this place. And it is absolutely not because of the lady boss. I think I've dealt with her pretty well. It's just that opportunities don't come knocking on your door twice. Who knows one day, I might be joining the team again. Who knows right?! But for the time being, allow me to gain as much experience as I can in order to be a successful Media Planner.

She's making things worst that it already has.

#19

After the conversation I had with kakak last night, I felt much relieved. I'm glad she understands. It was stupid of me to think the other wise. I feel much better now.

She was a bit confused of the facial reaction that I have upon my face. Well kakak, I was being confused about the whole thing and that explained the sloppy face I had earlier on. She said that I look unhappy about the news which was true for the fact that I'm pretty worried for the decision that I might be agreed on. I'm taking the risk of jeopardizing my career here sister. That is why I'm worried so much.

"Go for it. Take the challenge". That was all she said while wrapping up our adik-beradik-heart-to-heart session before mom decided to kacau daun. We had to stop immediately as I haven't told my parents yet. Itu pun satu lagi sebab musabab for the worried face. The challenge of telling the parents for making such decision. I have to admit, this is the only, I repeat, THE ONLY decision made that both my sister and I agreed on. The encouragement she gave to me to just go for it. She has never encouraged me on things that I do except for this one. Sungguh flattered!

Takpe. Buat apa nak takut. Bukan kita meropak. They'll understand, eventually.

I'm so grateful for having the people who constantly showering me with their love and support. Who will always be there for me when I needed them the most. Who I can always rely on and be there through thick and thin.

I would like to personally thank Izwan for all the time he spent just to get me to where I am today. Not that I've done any better but at least, there's improvement made from the day I started "laboring" in this advertising world. I'll be better, don't worry. Insyaallah. Love ya long time!

All I need to do now is to get the answers ready to all the soalan-soalan cepu cemas yang bakal di tanya tidak lama nanti.

Got to go now. Work awaits. Have a nice day lovers!

#35

Yes darlings, you see it right. This is my latest invention. My version of my own bakery shop. If you check on the list, you'll find it at #35.

Tak dapat yang the real bakery, yang virtual pun jadilah!

This is just the beginning of a bright future, Insyaallah. The needs of wanting to own a bakery shop. Mula-mula buang masa dengan the virtual version, mana tahu tahun-tahun mendatang dapat yang the real static one?! We wouldn't know kan?? After all, I already started this so-called business online. Remember Cuppiesland?

But I still bake though. Itu sahaja yang masih kekal. Cuma "membakar" untuk ahli keluarga saja dan untuk hidangan mulut dan perut sendiri. Bukan untuk tujuan komersial. Eh! but I still accept orders. Kalau ada sesiapa yang berminat, silalah hubungi saya di talian "Comment" di bawah.

There's another dough of chocolate chip cookies that needs my attention. See, I never really stop baking but the lack of determination saja yang menggangu jiwa dan raga.

I better get those cookies ready. We are expecting visitors later tonight. Nantikan kemunculannya di post-post yang akan datang. I have decided to transform this blog to a bride-to-be blog yang poyo. Mestilah mengikuti trend masa sekarang. Asal nak jadi bride je ade b2b blog. Maka, saya hanya mengikuti trend untuk mempraktikan ke-poyo-an saya.

Kita tunggu dan lihat tahap ke-poyo-an saya. Marilah kita sama-sama mendoakan ke-poyo-an saya ini agar menjadi kenyataan. Amin.
