The last 48 hours

  • All I asked from Izwan was a slice of Secret recipe's Indulgence chocolate cake. I had the sudden craved for the cake when we were out to pay his mom's bill. I wanted something sweet and sugar high. So I dragged him to Secret Recipe after paying those bills.

  • Had the biggest fight with Izwan. I hit him by accident and I hit him hard; on the left shoulder. I think his left shoulder would have been swollen. I put my full energy through the hitting. Poor him but he deserves the hit. Hence, the cake *teehee*

  • I fought with my mom. What's new?! But for the very first time, dad was on my side. Ajlaa 1 - mommy 0. Yey!

  • Kakak has been the sweetest person of all time. She's been very very tolerant. Oh, for your info, my sister and I, we fought almost everyday. But for the past few days, she has been an angel. Kakak, lu memang awesome!

  • I went to pick my hantarans from my cousin's house yesterday's night. Besides my wedding attires, the hantarans are my fav. It matches the concept of simplicity and I love each and everyone of it. Very minimal, very simple and very straight forward. Tak serabut mata memandang.

  • Today will be the Khatam Quran ceremony. I thought I might not be able to joint the Khatam due to the time of the month. Unfortunately, Miss Red has decided not to make its' present. So, I have to mengaji-lah. Aisehman. Jangan kau gatal nak keluar time mengaji nanti sudah.

I guess that all about it. See ya when I see ya. Oh selepas menjadi Puan. Happy Friday lovebirds!

The one worth visiting

I'm already on leave. It's the second day and I'm already feeling restless. Ok! enough with the leave thingy, I'm here to write about my visit to a spa last Sunday. I'm so likey, likey! After I came out from the door, I've made myself a promise to visit a spa at least once a month (and Izwan agrees to it, woot! woot!) but only when money permits. Ok, RM200 must be put aside every month for spa visiting, yey!

Tini's Spa was where I was last Sunday.

I took their Body Pampered treatment to get this stress out from my body. And I must say that it work wonders. My body felt very clean, light, fresh and most of all it smells so damn good after the treatment. I'm sure going to do it again.

So here's what my body had:-

1) Before they start with the treatment, I was instructed by one of the spa people to rendam the kaki first. I don't know the purpose of doing so but I assumed it is to make the nerves a bit lembut kot! I did what I was instructed to do. I'm there to de-stress remember?!

Oh, speaking of which, the people at the spa are all friendly. 10 points extra!

2) After awhile, one of the girl leaded me to a room where I'm about to be massaged. I took my clothes off and covered myself with the pario/kain batik that they've provided. It felt so good beyond words. I can't even remembered how it felt. I fell asleep in between the massage. They started off with the leg and headed up till my head. Berbunyi-bunyi habis tulang-temulang. I'm the type of person who feel geli easily. Habis geli satu badan when she massaged me but keenakan urutan telah menepis kadar kegelian itu.

It made me thinking, no wonder-lah men love going for massages. Patutlah Pusat Urut sangat laku ye! I don't know-lah what other activities they had there in Pusat Urut but memang stim ye semasa di urut. Stim di sini bermaksud kesedapan luar batasan. Sila jangan fikir bukan-bukan.

3) After 45 minutes of a good massage, I was then brought to a room for a 20-minute Sauna session. I tell you, the heat kills me to bit. I was sweating more than a pig. That was indeed the longest 20 minutes of my life. Longest! But I survived it anyway. I had to bring along my phone to distract myself from the heat. But I survived it anyway.

I came out feeling noxious and dizzy. I was dehydrated, I think!. All the water came out during the session mane tak dehydrated. They gave me water to drink before continuing with the next treatment.

4) After a quick 5 minutes break, we continue with the scrub session. I picked the Papaya flavor as the coffee one is out of stock. It was cooling though. They scrubbed my whole body. Every part of it, except the one down south.

5) And we headed for the milky bath for the last treatment. I don't quite remember what flavor I picked but I remember the pouring of milky water through the body. It was the best 20-minute of my life. The best! I fell asleep (again) in the bath tub.

I cleaned myself after and put my clothes on right away. I feel fresh. I feel great. I feel good after the session and I'm sure that I'm going to come back to the second and third and forth sessions. It's a good way to de-stress yourself. The one requires your money spending. But it is definitely going to be the one worth spending.

And for those who are looking for a spa place to visit, I totally recommend Tini's Spa. They have two branches, one is at Taman Dagang, Ampang and the other one is at Shah Alam (few blocks from Jakel). They provide good services and their people are friendly too. You should make a visit and experience the awesomeness then you'll know what I mean.

Poyo bride2be update #8

I guess this will be the last entry on an attempt of becoming a poyo bride-to-be. A week to go and I don't think there'll be anymore post relating to the event after this. And if there is, I don't think I have the time to post about it anyway.

So what have I got so far?

Honestly, I don't know. My only concern was the invitation card which I have successfully delivered; hand delivered and also via Pos Malaysia. Alhamdulillah, Pos Malaysia has done a pretty good job delivering my babies although there have been some delay with the delivering process but Alhamdulillah, even as far as Sarawak has received my card. With so, thank you Pos Malaysia for your service.

Wedding attire - I am deeply in love with my nikah attire. Deeply! It's simple and super nice. Not to brag but it is definitely my favourite. Thanks to my dear cousin for the hard work. I love love my baju nikah. I shall post about it after the event. Kalau post sekarang tak surprise lah. The reception attire; well, the beading is still in progress. I went for the fitting last week and I kinda like it but not at the same level of "like" towards the baju nikah. Maybe because I haven't seen the whole dress yet. Hopefully it will turn out to be as expected. We shall wait and see.

Other than that, well, I totally have no idea. To my surprise, I have yet to feel the excitement. If you ask me how I'm feeling now, I would probably just smile at you. But one thing for sure, I just want this to be done and over with. Enough of the preparation. I'm tired of waiting for the tickling clock.

It's weird to see how malay wedding has turned too nowadays. It's all about everything now. We have lost the actual value of a wedding; the actual purpose of having a wedding. My vote is still goes to the after event which is the marriage, not much on the wedding event. Not on the wedding preparation too. Marriage is what stays forever.

I am currently busy with workloads. Always on the go. I don't even have time to pee. Eh! itu tipu but I spent most of my time at the office. My initial plan was to start my leave two days before the event but I don't think it's fair for the family since mom is closing the shop early. Next Monday will be my last day before the long holiday. And since mom has just created a chaos, I regretted applying for an early leave. I should've applied my leave two days before the event. Baru mengelupor semua orang. I have to clear everything before my leave. It's either stay back for a bit longer (dah lah hari-hari memang balik lambat, di tambah dengan balik lambat kuasa dua) or resume work at home after a long day at the office. I'm picking both. I don't have much options, don't I?!

And that is the reason why I've been avoiding the wedding prep the whole week. I chose not to worry. I chose not to think about it. I chose to do work instead. 8 days of headache and this too shall past.

And this is the end of it. Good night everyone.

Poyo bride2be update #7

Dear friends,

Here's the map to the location:-

I guess we're 75% ready. Invitation were all sent (for those who have yet to receive, do let me know. I've posted everything on Friday morning and would probably reach your postbox latest by Tuesday if you're in Selangor/Kuala Lumpur area). For those who are staying outside from the area, give it till Friday next week. Kalau masih belum terima cepat-cepatlah mengirimkan khabar. Will definitely serang Pos Malaysia again for the second time.

We received another good news last Wednesday. All praise to Allah, Alhamdulillah. Rezeki last minute tuhan nak kasi. All that one needs to do is be patience.

Mom's renovated kitchen is 85% completed. Alhamdulillah. I know she's on the rack too when she sees the progression of her kitchen. Takut-takut tak sempat siap and while me on the other hand keep on bragging over her ridiculous decision on renovating the house when clearly the kenduri is just around the corner.

I guess that's all for now. Oh chop! question, what's the purpose of hiring a videographer? Seriously, I want to know. Is it really a must atau hanya untuk suka-suka? Videographer adalah untuk..............? Your help/info will be much appreciated. Tqvm.

Poyo bride2be update #6

I came home one evening and found this cute little thing lingered around the middle hall. Mak was so excited she just can't wait till I settle down and immediately shown the cute little thing to me. I was still with my bag on and my shoes were not even off after reaching home from work. As excited as she was, I am too!

It's called corsage but I think it has been mistakenly used by most bride-to-be(s). Corsage is known to be as a gift from a person to his/her partner and usually presented during a dance event/prom. But for weddings, it is the thing that family members tuck on the side of their clothes as to show that they are the family members or the person in charge for the wedding. But I still don't get it why it is called corsage.

So anyways, this cute little thing will be used among family members during the reception. Mak saw it at Semua House and it's very cheap too. She can't resisted it and bought it immediately. In a way, it saves up a lot of my time since I thought of diy-ing myself but since the thing is way cheaper than the cost of me diy-ing the corsage, I say why not?!

Cute kan?! *Cakap cute jugak walaupun tak cute*

All I need to do now is to figure out how to put a two ringgit note at it so that it will look presentable and does not kill the cuteness.

On the other note, mom has come up with a brilliant idea to renovate the kitchen where I'm about to get married in one month time. The house is officially in a mess and Uncle Yap the contractor is scheduled to start his constructing tomorrow. I don't know where on earth does she gets the idea of renovating the kitchen now where she clearly knows that we are having the kenduri at home in a month time. Uncle Yap has promised her that the kitchen will be ready in a week time. Can you even believe that? I don't think so.

This is how the middle hall looks like. You should see how it is now, it's even worst.

Perlukan kesabaran yang super tinggi. Breath in, breath out. Breath in, breath out.

Poyo bride2be update #5

Look who's back.

I went to collect my wedding invitation card this afternoon and my hormones are happy now, yey! Remember the rambling on me being a psychotic bride-to-be, taking public transportation and the fight with daddy just to get the card printed? Well ladies, it was totally worth the trouble.

The printing company called me up last week saying that my cards are ready for collection. I was quite nervous actually for the fact that my heart wasn't 100% confident with the printing people as:-
  1. I don't get the type of paper that I wanted.
  2. The color selection was quite limited. I was looking for creamy gold but unfortunately, they don't have such color. So I pick off-white instead.
  3. I wasn't pretty sure if the design will turn out as what I wanted coz they don't prepare a mock up for me. If I were to test-print the card, that would cost me a lot as most printing company print in bulk and there's no such thing as test-print for wedding cards.
  4. For the fact that Izwan condemned me much on the cost of the wedding card padahal takdelah mahal pon.
So when they called, I prayed hard that the cards will turn out well.

When the lady handed me my card (dalam hati tak putus-putus berselawat) I was relieved as the card looks exactly as how I wanted it to be. Simple, very very simple, very clean and straight forward, takde corak-corak semak kepala...........and simple. I love it!

Simple kan?!

Of course you silly, tak surprise lah kalau tunjuk kad di sini. This is just a sneak peak of my wedding card. I'm not that generous to show you how my wedding card looks like. Nanti bila dah dapat barulah tengok sendiri ye kawan-kawan. Don't worry, it is so simple that you'd probably say "simple-nya wedding card dia". Well, that's the kind of expression that I want. It's not pretty but it's simple. It's ME!

They gave 50 extra copies of my wedding card for free. Super generous!

Oh, for those who have no idea where to go to for wedding card printing, I recommend LH Creative Concept. They're located at Jalan Brunei, Off Jalan Pudu, Kuala Lumpur. If you have zero idea on how to do your wedding card, they have the solution. They have ample of samples on wedding cards that they have created. Price is negotiable. It depends on your quantity but not much on the design. Have a visit, you'll get the idea.

And if you're like me who designed your own wedding card, well they accept that too. Show your design and they'll help to match it with the paper that will suit your design. Sungguh akan rambang mata.

I have to say that I'm much relieved after receiving those cards. Stress-free.

Now, it's time to get them ready for delivery. I'll be knocking at your door soon.............or maybe stuck in your postbox. Check them out soon. Cheh, macam apa jer!!

Level "Game Over"

To Say I Do
Daisypath Wedding tickers

Or specifically 55 days to go.

Yes, I'm counting days now and if I can, I would count the hours to. Panic is officially my middle name. Panic, panic dah terus panic (mesti bercakap gaya Datuk Sheikh Muzaffar).

So anyways, here are few tips that I'm going to share to those who are in the midst of planning for their own wedding day. Yes, wedding preparation is by far the funnest (if ever the word exist) thing to do. You get the chance to see all the beautiful things. The flowers, the dais decorations, your wedding dress(es), the hantarans, creating your own wedding invitation card and for the fact that you are marrying the person that you love the most, well that's the most fun fact that you're getting. All these, all these fun preparation will soon fade away once you hit the last 2 months before the exact date.

And once it hits, you'll definitely will have the feeling of canceling your so called "happy day". You know how I know? Coz that is the feeling that I'm facing right now. The feeling of canceling my wedding day. The day that is 55 days away. The only feeling that you have now is the feeling of running away and never to come back. Dramatic kan?! Cuba lah nanti and you'll know what I mean.

Within these 2 months of period, there are few things that you have to finalize in order for you to get married. First is the Surat Pengesahan Perkahwinan. This is by far the suckiest procedure that one has to go through especially for those who are marrying in Selangor. Perasaannya macam nak bakar je pejabat jabatan agama. From Shah Alam to Taman Keramat, panjat jabatan agama itu ini baru nak selesai just to get the approval signatures.

The never ending fights with your parents is very very crucial. Period.

Dalam masa 2 bulan lah nak uji tahap kesabaran pasangan masing-masing. Penipu paling besar sebesar planet Marikh kalau siapa-siapa cakap yang dorang tak bergaduh dengan pasangan dorang during this period of time. The heat is on, everyone feels the tension, work is depressing (bagi yang bekerja seperti buruh kasar seperti kami), duit mengalir seperti air terjun; everything seem so wrong. When things don't go as planned, ayat paling glamor untuk di sebut tatkala ini adalah "susah-susah tak payah kahwin". Kan?!

The pressure from your surrounding is another factor.

*Sigh*

Poyo bride2be update #4

Tiba-tiba update #4.

Anyways, I haven't been updating on my wedding progress for awhile now. Eh, ke baru je beberapa hari lalu?! So, here to the making of the Poyo bride-to-be.

Someone got his suit ready some time last month. You see, this is one of the reason why I hate being the bride. I have to go thought thousand and thousand of wedding magazines just to get the idea for my wedding dress. And when I finally had one in mind, I have to go through another thousand of processes from finding the good material to the final fitting just to meet the satisfaction. When everything is all set, the groom just need to find something nice that can match the bride's dress.

In my case, a suit is what Izwan's going to wear for the reception.

So, off we went to the tailor that has been sewing my dad's suit ever since.....hmm, I don't know, donkey years ago.

We went to the tailor in the early month of October. Oh, we decided to tempah his suit separately as Izwan wants it as his personal suit after the wedding. Dah alang-alang nak buat harta, might as well we do it properly. We went to the tailor, picked the material that is suitable for Izwan's skin (encik ini ada sensitive skin, kain tak boleh sebarangan pakai) and the tailor took his measurement right away.

And the suit is ready for pick-up 2 weeks later. Sangat sekejap. The suit and also the trousers.

It was nicely done. Saya yang suka lebih.

I hope my dress will turn out to be as nice as his. Mine won't be ready anytime soon; not till December I suppose. Baju perempuan memang selalu lambat. Tempah 5 bulan sebelum, fitting berkali-kali, siapnya 2-3 weeks before the wedding. Alasan, nanti measurement tak lari dengan saiz badan. Wth?!

Itulah orang kata, penantian adalah satu penyeksaan. Waiting for my wedding dress to be ready is one of the penyeksaan.

All that Izwan needs to do now is to get that tummy of his to be few inches smaller, boleh?

Cerita hujung minggu

No, not that I'm not grateful for the parental help but I think, sometimes, just sometimes, they go overboard. Being excited is OK but don't get too high on it. Let's keep it slow shall we?!

I had a fight with my dad this morning. Sorry daddy, please don't blame me for I have the same kind of genes as you. I'm your daughter remember? Knowing me who has zero level of patience and the tendency to speak recklessly, we screamed at each other this morning. I was too angry, I even cried while "talking" with dad. All this, all this has got to do with my marriage application.

I know that he is excited over these whole wedding prep thingy. I get it, I do! But there are things that I need to do on my own. Say, like this marriage application for instance. It's me who has to get all the forms and whatnot and get it approved before the solemnization but why must he.............oh well, I get the excitement! I really do!

As a result, we are currently not talking to each other. It's better that way. Knowing my father, he'll talk to me eventually. It's the matter of time.

He was supposed to send me to the printing shop to print the wedding invitation card the same morning. But since the whole drama occurred, he decided to bail on it. Oh, for those who don't know me, my level of ketegaq is very very high. It's the ego actually. But what the heck, my ego has been my best friend ever since and I trust my ego more than you. Yes, you! So off I went to Jalan Pudu to get my wedding invitation card printed. Saya tahu, saya memang awesome. I am very proud of you, my ego! You're awesome! Sorry daddy, you raised me well to always do things independently and that is why most of the things I did were discreetly kept as secret. Not till I told you so.

But I got my kind of therapy right after. The meeting with my best girls has totally changed the mood. I had so much fun. I got the kind of laugh that I needed for the longest time. Work and life have been depressing much lately and I got the chance to repair them with the girls.

Sadly, life gets to normal right after too. I ter-accidentally accepted an order made by my cousin. Her friend requested 50 cupcakes and I totally forgot about it. The worst part is, she is coming to collect them tomorrow. I have no choice but to bake them as early morning as possible.

I'm starting at a new place on Monday and I haven't had the rest before starting fresh. I'm exhausted.

That's all for today. Good night lovers. Sleep tight.

Three

Three is the number of pimples I have scattered all over my face. They are placed nicely at the middle of my batang hidung (saling tak tumpah macam Ultraman Taro), at the corner of my chin and on the right cheek. Reddish and most importantly, they are VISIBLE even when you're miles away.

Three is the number of days left before saying goodbye to SAA *sad*. I know I'm going to cry bucket of tears on Friday. I dare not elaborate more on this. We shall wait till Friday comes. But nonetheless, work has been piling up high since Monday and I don't think I would be able to clear everything before I leave. *Sigh*

Three is also the number of things that I need to get it done by November.
  • To get the wedding card printed.
  • To get all the surat kahwin ready (nak kahwin pun kena surat-menyurat)
  • And to find more $$$ *double sigh*
Three is the time showing at the clock now and I'm still freshly awake. I'm still working on the flash file. I'm still struggling with flash commands. I'm still worrying about work. I'm still thinking about work and I am still freshly awake. Hurmmm...

Three is the number of wishes that I currently pray for:-
  • Nak cepat kahwin, saya stress kerja!
  • Nak cepat kahwin, saya stress kerja!
  • Nak cepat kahwin, saya stress kerja!

Three is officially not my favorite number.

But,

The only good thing about three is the number of girls I have as my besterestest friends that I'm going to meet in three days time *super excited*

The poyo bride2be is back!

I went to have my reception dress fitting earlier this afternoon. Being the simple me, I just wore a pair of jeans and a Chelsea jersey together with a tak gosok black hijab to meet the wedding coordinator. That's the whole point of wearing a black hijab so that I won't be spending 10 minutes of my time ironing them.

Ok! that's another story. Back to this one.

Itu tak kira lagi selipar pink ala-ala tak berapa nak jepun. Nasib baik depan pintu kedai kena buka selipar/kasut. Kalau tak memang awesome habis!

Kak Ju, the wedding coordinator together with her assistant took the measurement while I stood still like one of her mannequin dressed nicely in a wedding attire. Tiba-tiba tak semena-mena, "rock habis bakal pengantin ni" and both of them laughed cynically (or so I thought). Nak dijadikan cerita, mereka ketawa sebab saya rock berdiri macam gangster pakai baju seselamba mungkin unlike the normal future bride that came to her boutique dressed se-perempuan habis atau dalam bahasa melayu aslinya, semolek-moleknya, lemah-lembut, ayu-mayu.

The same story applies when I was at Alor Star with the future mother in law for wedding dress hunting couple of days ago. As much as the FMIL wanted the over beaded baju pengantin, I, on the other hand preferred the super classic white kebaya songket. I'm a simple person you know, who loves simple things. Tak serabut mata memandang, tak pening kepala melihat. Tapi untuk sedapkan hati bakal ibu mertua, I took the beaded dress for the 2nd reception. Karang merajuk mak mertua habislah point I!! Kena reject siapa yang susah? Mak jugak nok!

Cantik kan songket? Credit from Yamin & Sha during their Penang reception.

We've secured the reception for both sides. Baju dah pilih. Masing-masing dengan temanya tersendiri (I have no say on this. The mother from both sides telah mencipta tema mereka sendiri) and all that we have to do now is to be mentally and physically ready (monetary too!) for the upcoming 80 days to come.

Ohh whhaatttttttttt??? *panic attack*

80 days and counting. Saya panic! Sekian terima kasih.

Congratulations, you just won.........

......the first prize of officially becoming a Bridezilla.

*Stress*

Ever since the acknowledgment of the remaining days left till my wedding day, I have been nothing but a worried bitch. My heart pumped faster than ever as if I was running on a track reaching for the finishing line. I wasn't able to sleep at night which is very crucial coz I haven't been sleeping well for the past 4 nights. Baru mata nak lelap dah terjaga and ended up being grumpy in the morning. Itu sangat tak bagus. It's depressing. It is, really!

The word P.S.Y.C.H.O. is written nicely on my forehead. I need to scrub the word off pronto! Else, I'll be reaching Tanjung Rambutan anytime soon which is not good for the resume. Heh, takde kena-mengena! Argh! I hate this feeling. The feeling of insecurities. The feeling of killing yourself. The feeling of unable to speak. The feeling of running away.

*Tired*

Is this normal? Coz I don't think it is. I think it's crazy! I think all bride-to-be(s) should go for one last medical check-up before their wedding day. I know I am coz I think one of my wire has gone missing. Better still, all wires are gone and I am officially disfunctional. I'm a retard, yes I am! Ok, I'm crapping.

Lets do the check listing ye ladies and gentlemen:-
  • Baju nikah : 60% ready
  • Need more money
  • Baju for reception : tunggu designer balik haji
  • Need more money
  • Reception on his side : Next week balik Kedah
  • Need more money
  • Melawati reception : Confirmed all the needs and wants, paid deposit
  • Need more money
  • Wedding Card : Out for printing over the weekend
  • Need more money
  • Hantarans : Tinggal untuk di decorate
  • Need more money
  • Homestay for the FILs side to stay : checked
  • Need more money
So there you go! The updated check list of things to do before the wedding day. I'm tired. Exhausted. Seriously I am. I just pray that the remaining 90 days will past as quickly as it can coz I can foresee the breaking down of me anytime soon. I need a break. From work and all these wedding preparation crap. From work sebenarnya. Work is depressing. But I need the money though *sigh*.

Lets go cuti-cuti before masuk kerja baru. Anyone?!

I need money help!

DIY - Bunga Pahar

This is what I come home too.

I was not aware about this whole bunga pahar thingy. Not till last Tuesday. You see, my responsible Creative Director has planned everything accordingly. Tup tup tengok dah sekotak siap. SEKOTAK BESAR ye puan-puan. Bukan saiz kotak kasut. Tetapi SEKOTAK besar letak vacum cleaner. Ntah bila masa dia buat saya pun tidak tahu. Oh!

Beginilah rupanya apabila digolongkan bersama-sama.

I'm impressed to know that mother, I repeat, MY MOTHER actually has this kind of talent. Super impressive!

Jadi puan-puan, selamat mencuba!

tik tok tik tok......98 days......tik tok tik tok

Not to brag but.......I have another 98 days to go.....Woooooooo!!!! Which mean, I have less than 100 days to prepare, less than 100 days to get things done and less than 100 days before I officially have a room partner *teehee*.

As we all know, I'm currently serving my one month notice. I tendered last Thursday due to the fight I mentioned on my previous post. Don't get me wrong, kalau tak berlakunya perselisihan faham pun I'm tendering cuma mungkin perasaannya saja yang tidak sama. Mungkin akan lebih berbelah-bahagi. But since that lady has created the "unwanted" scene, I tendered wholeheartedly.

Friday went not so well since the GM decided to be on his worst mood towards me and a colleague of mine kept on calling me jahat for no reason. And the lady boss has been acting cold since then.

Monday came with a surprise. Everyone from the building knew about my resignation including the tea lady. My oh my! How could it possibly be? I remember telling to one person only which was the GM since he was the one who received my resignation letter. The management knew about it coz, well, they have too right? They are the management team but what surprises me was the acknowledgment from the creative team and people in the studio. One by one came to me and asked about it. Does my resignation letter flew to every department or was it sent to a different tray before reaching the management table?

You guessed it right people! The lady boss just couldn't get over the fact that I'm leaving her. She has to tell and bragged about it to everyone. She discussed it over WIP, she talks about it during lunch (for all that I know she has been telling everyone during lunch hour for 3 days in a row now) and she also called her friends and discussed about it over the phone. She talks in her typical chinese language and thought that I don't understand. But sorry lady, I work here for a year and a half, I understand chinese pretty well. It's disgusting. Keji sungguh keji.

What did I do that makes her go kachiong about it? I'm leaving and there's nothing you can do. No one can do anything about it. Just shut the hell up and MOVE ON! People leave. They come and go and nothing you can do about it.

I'm not looking for enemies here. I respect her as my superior. Though we might not reached the same kind of understanding but she is still my superior; the respect that I have to give for being a boss. But she has officially crossed the line and it's intolerable. I feel sorry for her. Really, I am!

Everyone seem to get the wrong picture. No, I don't leave because of the money. I don't leave because I don't like this place. I like it here so much I was having difficulties deciding whether should I or shouldn't I leave this place. And it is absolutely not because of the lady boss. I think I've dealt with her pretty well. It's just that opportunities don't come knocking on your door twice. Who knows one day, I might be joining the team again. Who knows right?! But for the time being, allow me to gain as much experience as I can in order to be a successful Media Planner.

She's making things worst that it already has.

Wedding checklist

Jadi, untuk percubaan pertama ini, here are the checklist of things that need to be done and things that have already been cleared.

SUDAH LANGSAI

Confirmed date: 15 January 2010, 10 Safar 1432H
Solemnization: 11 AM
Wedding reception: 8 PM

Venue:-
Solemnization: Home sweet home
Wedding reception: A garden house at Taman Melawati

Attire:-
Solemnization: A cousin who is the responsible tailor for one of top designer in the country. Since he is the tailor in charge, we bought the material for both bride & groom at a very very VERY low rate. Like SUPER low! Oh and the actual designer for my baju nikah is my mother who actually got the inspiration by one of the dresses she saw at BSC laundry shop.
Reception: Designed by yours truly and my parents for the groom's suit.

Wedding planner: My mother who is also the Creative Director, the CEO, Managing Director, General Manager, and a full time Director for both events. She is also the best, I repeat, THE BEST negotiator in town.

Canopy: It so happened that the canopy owner is a friend of my father's. We rented 8 canopies and got 2 FOC canopies.

Caterer: Orang kampung saya yang akan menghidangkan juadah makanan original Minang and a cousin of mine will be preparing the dishes for the solemnization to feed the northern side of the family.

Invitation card: Designed by yours truly.

Hiasan bunga pahar: The mother of the bride (ibunda saya lah siapa lagi)

Photographer: A friend of mine.

AV: A cousin of mine who is also a professional event coordinator/MC

BELUM LANGSAI:

Attire:
Reception: For the reception. Tukang jahit kata dia akan call after raya week. To also find a nice pair of heels that can fit both dresses.

Hantaran: Will be decorated by my cousin's mother-in-law who volunteered to help with the decoration for free. Oh, she has been decorating hantarans her entire life. So, gaya dan taste-nya amatlah dipercayai. Oh please take note that she will be doing for both bride & groom. To get all the stuff for hantaran before December comes.

Invitation card: To get it printed and distribute to the guest latest by the first week of December 2010.

Wedding cake: to be confirmed (sama ada mahu atau tidak mahu sebab saya bagitau ibunda saya yang saya tidak mahu)

So there you go. The checklist of my wedding day. These are only the list that I can recall at the moment. Nanti bila-bila ingat akan ditambah lagi from time to time.

Sekian terima kasih.

The price of a platinum ring

I was already half asleep when my phone buzz-ed none stop like a mad cow yesterday night. It was already half past one in the morning and the phone just won't stop buzzing. This is the price one has to pay for using a Blackberry phone and I'm starting to hate mine. Lagi bagus kalau phone tanpa warna masih wujud lagi di rumah. I'd have use it still.

And as a result, I was freshly awake the whole night/morning and fall back to sleep hours later which was not good coz I ended up waking up with disappointment (for being unable to sleep and have a good night sleep) this morning.

I went out with Izwan later that afternoon to look for his ring. You see, Muslim men can't wear any kind of gold or white gold as an accessories. With that, if one is in need of wearing accessories, they can only wear platinum with 0% of gold or Suasa. You know-lah how expensive platinum ring can be. Boleh gugur bulu kaki melihat harganya. And it left us with no choice but to look for one. We went to GoldHeart to look for his ring. Lucky for us, we found the ring which he loves so much (bukan senang nak tengok Izwan suka sesuatu benda tuh) within our budget. Takda lah tergugur bulu kaki melihatnya. Fortunate for me, Izwan is not that type of person who wants diamond on his ring. Just a simple clean cut band will do. Maka, tidak gugur kuasa dua bulu kakinya. We may need to go back to the jeweler since there's no size that can fit Izwan's finger.

And it got me thinking.

How much one needs to spend just to prepare for one's wedding day. The fight one has to face with the immediate family. The miss-communication between the immediate family and the in-laws to be. Baju. Kenduri and whatnots only to know that the marriage that one is trying to hold on to only last for a year or two. Minta simpang tapi that's the reality that we are facing nowadays. I'm not saying that all marriages end up with a failure one but tengok saja lah. Bercerai sana sini dalam surat khabar. It scares me to death.

I spent a lot on this wedding. Ini baru preparation-nya saja. Belum lagi yang untuk rumahtangga. Tanggungjawab suami-isteri. You see, I'm that type of person who thinks a lot. Like a lot, LOT!

All these, all these kesusahpayahan were linked to the conversation I had with Izwan on our way to Mid Valley. I don't really quite remember what we were talking about but it came to a conclusion that we did not understand the meaning to our responses to each other. Lain yang di cakap, lain yang difahamkan. Sebab itu selalu miss-communication between us two. Tak faham maksud.

After 5 years. After 5 years of knowing/being with each other, we still experiencing this so called communication breakdown. Jadi, macam mana nanti bila dah kahwin tak kan nak ada communication problem lagi?!

Adakah berbaloi segala kesusahpayahan itu nanti?

I wouldn't know. I'm not there yet? But I hope and I pray that all these hardship that I have to go through in the name of preparing for a wedding worth all the sweat. Amin

Bridezilla what??

While waiting for Izwan to come home (chehh dah macam bini tunggu lakinya pulang kerja pula. Coz he need to call me before I go to sleep) and while waiting for these eyes to shut down, I browsed through some b2b blog(s). Yes, I'm not going to deny for not reading them. I do, in fact I enjoy myself reading them. Reading the excitement one expresses. I found the link to a Bridezilla quiz here.

For those who don't know, bridezilla is a term used by most bride to be(s) during the process of preparing for their wedding. It shows the expression of the bride while dealing/handling her wedding prep. Pendek kata, kadar ke-gelabah-an seseorang pengantin itu. I think so-lah! Maka terciptalah Bridezilla. I don't see the resemblance but what the heck, alang-alang dah nak jadi bride-to-be, gunakan aje term-nya. Barulah se-aliran. Ok, kodi gile!

Jadi kepada sesiapa yang seangkatan dengannya (I know Farizah is!), jika mahu menguji tahap ke-bridezilla-an anda, sila jalani ujian di atas.

Sekian, wassallam and good night peeps!

Gendang gendut tali kecapi

Kenyang perut suka hati.

I had karipap, kuih keria dan ondeh-ondeh with a cup of hot tea for berbuka. Sesudah solat (oh, I prefer to perform solat first before heading for another round of "berbuka" untuk mengelakkan daripada solat sambil menguap-nguap), I rushed to the kitchen and finally had my dinner. Yes bebeh, you read it right. I rushed to the dining table for food. When there's ketam masak sweet sour pedas, fried japanese taufu with soya sauce and mixed vegetable served on the table, who would say "no" to food?!

Lesson learned; jangan makan macam beruang ketika membuka puasa. Ini adalah pesanan penaja di bulan Ramadan.

As much as I hate to admit, I have to put some weight before January 2011. Lots of the things I bought were few size bigger from my current size kerana kalau diikutkan kepada keadaan saiz semasa, memang tak wujud saiznya.

If you see how much I consume food daily, you would be surprised to see how huge my tummy is but the weight is still loosing which is worrying me much!

Kesimpulannya, anda kira lah sendiri.

I need to find ways to put on weight before everything else. Sekian terima kasih!

Green light to ding dong bell

Last weekend, Izwan and I attended the-wajib-to-do-kalau-tak-tak-boleh-kahwin-most-promising-kursus-kahwin at Masjid At-Taqwa, Taman Tun Dr. Ismail. Setelah tangguh punya tangguh, tunda punya tunda, we finally (FINALLY) made our presence. And it was worth attending.

People say that kursus kahwin is the most boring kursus one had to attend to; in life. The saddest part was, one could never run from attending this so called boring classes in order for one to get married.

I did some research by googling places that offers kursus kahwin. I made the right choice by picking TTDI as it offers the most interesting speakers/motivators one could have ever met.

No, I'm not kidding!

But, it was an eye opener for me. Despite from the fun I had, I have to be honest, being a wife is not an easy job. Marriage is not for a day or two. It's within the hands of you and your partner. There are things that you need to put into consideration. Communication, tolerance, patience, understanding and most importantly, the willing of helping each other are needed in marriage. Makan, pakai dan tempat tinggal memanglah seharusnya suami yang sediakan but there's no harm in helping your husband in providing the necessities. After all, it is what you call your own "rumahtangga". You are the captain and also the driver of your rumahtangga.

There's no promises of a happy marriage. There will always be the ups and downs and it's up to you to work it out. Well, I can't say much. I've yet to experience mine but I'm opt for it. No, I'm not ready for it yet but I'm more happy to learn to live together as husband and wife and the life that we are going to build together.

And I'm all excited for January. I don't care!

For that very 30 minutes

A conversation I had with Za while we were on our way back from attending a wedding was pretty interesting but sadly, in reality, those are the things that one couldn't insist on not doing.

A wedding day!

I myself is preparing for my own wedding day. Honestly speaking, the parents have been doing the planning since the day I got engaged which was 5 months ago. That shorten my countdown to 4 months before the wedding day.

The question is, how long does it takes for a guest to spend in attending a wedding? I mean, the time they spend during the event. Makan-makan, jumpa tetamu sikit, jumpa pengantin sekajap, tangkap gambar sana-sini. Semau lah!

The last wedding I attended took me only 30 minutes. Roughly, it took nothing exited 2 hours unless if it's a wedding of a close family/ friend's. But we're talking the matter on a general prospective, not family/close friend event.

One took at least a year to plan his/her wedding. Lots of things to put into consideration especially when it involves family affairs. Pelamin la, door gifts, baju salin sana-sini, caterer, food testing, wedding venue (ini yang paling penting sekali), guest list, wedding planner and what not. All these need to be well-organized before the wedding day.

If you ask me, how I want my wedding day to be? My answer is to have it at Jabatan agama Islam where the kadi and saksi and wali are all there to do the process, attended by close family and friends, hantaran hanya satu bentuk cincin Bvlgari (kalau lah Izwan mampu kan cincin semahal kereta Vios) dan Quran. Itu sahaja.

But when it involves family affairs, my dream wedding is somehow irrelevant.

I've discussed about this matter with my mother not too long ago. Her explanation was simple. We can do the wedding event as I dreamed off but how can they (the parents) explain to the rest of the family members when only selected members can attend when both sides actually have a very huge numbers of family members. I can't answer her obviously. So, I kept my mouth shut and never to argue again.

Different people have different opinion about something.

I have no say! Renung-renung kan lah.
