Wordless Wednesday

Love,
My most annoying partner-in-crime
My bestfriend
My shoulder to cry on
My fighting partner and forever will be
My pillar of strength
My Bank Negara
My joy and happiness
My most trusted secret-keeper.
My one and only who have the guts the make me cry day and night
My person!

I love you to the moon and back.

The King of Pop

It's been four years since he passed away and his stories still linger in every entertainment news portal. He has yet to rest in peace.

Having said that, with all the controversial stories relating him and his children, he is and forever will be my idol. I grew up listening to his music. I can never get bored of him. His music is who he was.

In the memory of MJ, here's "They don't really care about us", one of many great songs that he has produced - my all time favourite!.

June 2013 - Kuala Lumpur

Haze is not something new here in Malaysia. It's like part of the system. Normally, it'll be during August-September and sometimes, it runs throughout the year but not this year. The IPU reading was way higher especially in the southern part of the country. Believe it or not, Muar's IPU reading reached 745 yesterday and some part of the country were at the emergency 300+ level.

This was taken yesterday at 4.30pm
The picture above was taken at 4.30pm while on our way to Maklong's house. The IPU reading at that time was only at 100+ and yet we were unable to see the view of Bukit Antarabangsa. Imagine if it's on 700+ level. Masya Allah.

And today is even worst.

While I was on my way to the office this morning, my view was rather blurry and while reaching the exist at Damansara Perdana, the tall building were nowhere to be seen. It's bad that even One Utama is only seen from few metres away. Very very bad!

So you people out there, make sure you have your mask on. Drink plenty of warm water (make sure you boil it first), don't go out unless if needs be (working purposes) or else just stay in-door. If you have small baby at home, make sure they are well-covered (a reminder to myself too). Don't let your kids play out side of the house. Memang akan semak duduk rumah but this is for our own good.

Well, with this kind of situation, staying in is the only solution that we have. We should have take care of our nature and never to neglect them and look at what we have done to ourselves. Dah lah tak hujan. Mungkin ini adalah ujian yang Allah nak belikan kepada kita terhadap kelalaian kita sendiri.

So friends, do take care of your health. Remember to have your mask on. ya!

Happy Father's Day

We don't normally celebrate Father's Day. For me, every day is a Father's/Mother's Day. There is no need a special day to celebrate your loved ones. It can be celebrated at any other days. But again, having a husband who works around the clock does give us the privilege of "celebrating" Father's Day even if it means staying in the whole day doing nothing. The quality time that we spent for each other is priceless.

We didn't do much on that day. No special dinner. No outing activity. No nothing.

We stayed in, having home-cooked meal prepared by my mother (as usual) and we had a fun time playing with our precious lil girl - playing football that is! She is so much into football it worries me. I guess this is what I get for watching a live football match during 6 months pregnant.

That was how we celebrated Father's Day.

But nonetheless, I would like to express my appreciation to 2 fathers in my life. The first one is of course, my loving father who has been there helping my sister and I through our ups and downs. I used to "melawan" my father all the time. I always disagree with him especially during my teenage years. He sacrificed a lot for us. A lot! And I can never re-pay him for that. I never really say to him directly that I love him (ego much I know), but in his heart he knows that I will never stop loving him.

The last but not least is of course my dear husband who is the father of my child. If Iman knows how to talk, she would probably say the same thing - I LOVE YOU PAPA! And yes dear, we love you to the moon and back. Though we (I) never admit this but you are the pillar of our strength. Love much!

Lazy Thursday

It's been a very lazy week for me. Seriously lazy that I skipped an internal training this morning. I arrived office close to 10am every day. I leave at 6.30pm the latest and I hardly do anything. Completed few Media Plan proposal and that's it! Super lazy Masyaallah I just feel like sleeping all day long. I prefer to just stay at home and play with my daughter. Like I said, it's been a super lazy week for me.

For all you lazy people out there, let's just chill ourselves and enjoy the music.

Hey! Hey! Hey!

From GRPs to RCPs (ReCiPes)

I know I always complain about how hectic my work is. It is as if I have no fun at all when it comes to my work but obviously, I was just exaggerating. There are also some good times where we as an employee got to enjoy ourselves doing activities together. We have our own sports team where they are the responsible ones to plan for our yearly outdoor activities.

2012 has seen as the "hit" year for cooking shows hence why we had our own OMG Masterchef competition end of 2012. Each group were given a budget of RM100 and we have to prepare a 3 course meal - appetizer, main course and dessert. We even invited people from the industry to be the guest judges for the cooking competition. Very challenging. One of the challenges was to keep them alive with our dishes and hopefully they were not poisoned by it. Thank god, everyone is still alive :)

We had fun and it doesn't stop there. The management decided to go extra mile with it. We are going to produce our own cooking book based on all the dishes that were presented during the competition. Isn't that cool?! And of course, the return of investment of the cook book will be given to the charity homes. It is going to be part of our CSR program for 2013.

I will write on it more once we have finalized on the cook book. We are going to make this BIG yo!

Unfortunately, I am unable to share the video here but you can still view the video at our Youtube channel page. Click here for viewing.

It was produced by the professional team who were there during the competition.

It's funny when you got to see your colleague in action especially when it involves frying pan, ladle and all.

See, it's not always about planning, client servicing, communication strategy and GRPs for that matter but we cook too :)

Family weekend food feast

Last April, I received a confirmation letter on my promotion. Alhamdulillah, syukur sangat. All my hard work paid-off. And on top of that, the company decided to give everyone some "token of appreciation". Walaupun tidaklah sebanyak mana but syukur sangat with the rezeki. Rezeki Iman semuanya.

So I decided to share the good news with my family. Kalau nak belanja makan only few people je boleh merasa plus not all restaurant can cater large crowd. Since I can only gather most of my family members during school holidays, restaurant is not the right place to go. Maka terciptalah idea untuk membuat barbecue di kampung halaman. The space is there, well-equipped to do barbecuing and definitely able to cater large crowd.

Fixing the right date is super difficult - husband is working over the weekend, mother is not available on Saturday, kakak is busy with her own activity and I'm not available due to classes. Akhirnya, we picked 2 June (Sunday) where everyone is free and available.

Busu (the youngest Aunt) prepared the marinated chicken & beef (super delicious) while mom with her signature dishes - steamboat, chinese fried rice, fried kuey tow, pengat kacang and Paklong with her all time fav - marinated lamb. Alhamdulillah for the food!

My picture doesn't do justice. We had a lot of food on the table but I only managed to capture these only sebab busy melayan si kecil Iman. She was the excited one sampai tak tidur langsung seharian.

The food was delicious. Being able to share with the family is satisfying. Looking at those full-satisfied-tummy is purely happiness.

Alhamdulillah, I'm able to share it with those who matter. Bersedakah jariah among family members lebih afdal plus boleh mengeratkan silaturahim makan kongsi ramai-ramai.

I had a fun weekend and I hope you too!

Have a fabulous Monday peeps!
