Bangkok Day 1

As I informed earlier, I went to Bangkok for a 4 Days 3 Nights fully sponsored trip by the company. Pendek kata, company trip yang di bayar sepenuhnya - airticket, accommodation, dapat duit belanja lagi. We went last Saturday (yes, during Merdeka day) and arrived KUL on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2013. I was on the first group so my departure was at 1425 Malaysia time and arrived BKK at 1535 Thailand time.

Was I feeling excited?! Yes, of course as this is my first trip with the company. The last trip they had was 2 years ago which I did not participate as I was already 8 months pregnant. Lagi pon pergi Taiwan, lokasi tidak menarik.

So anyway, back to Bangkok. The main objective of this trip is Shopping, Shopping and Shopping. Our initial plan was to include some exciting sight seeing places but booyah, shopping is more fun! fun! fun! hence we decided not to go sight seeing. Lagipon after a day full of walking into the shopping places, kaki jadi patah tak jadi nak jalan-jalan makan angin. Well, my plan was to go shopping pon not that I intended to go sight seeing. Bangkok - sight seeing? A big no-no for me.

So yea, upon arrival, we were greeted by the tour agent to drive us to our hotel. Our accommodation was at The Grande Centre Point Hotel, Terminal 21. It is located right at the centre of Bangkok city. The traveling time from their International Airport to the hotel took us nearly 2 hours as the traffic was terribly bad. Kalau kita cakap traffic jam di KL sangat teruk, bersyukurlah kawan-kawan, Bangkok lagi teruk!

So then, we arrived our hotel close to 5pm (Bangkok time). We settled down, get our room keys, get a quick fresh-up before proceeding with our touring. Oh, nasib baik hotel kasi complimentary of free wifi, dapat skype dengan Iman hari-hari.

After that long tiring journey from the airport to our hotel, we decided to just go to the nearest shopping mall to grab our lunch-cum-dinner. Little that I know that Bangkok now has a lot of halal food. They, in fact invented the Arab street for the convenience of Muslim tourists as they received more Arab tourists by the year. And they also make sure that there's at least 1 halal restaurant in each mall. So, senang lah sikit nak cari makan.

Our first mall was The Terminal 21. This mall is not for shopping unless you are up for original branded stuff. Oh yea, Thailand is known for their imitation product, jadi bersepah-sepah orang pakai barangan branded. Original ke tak original, Wallahualam.

What's so special about this mall is that on each floor, there's a different kind of theme that they do for the interior.

This was at Level 3

And on each restroom, they will set it as per the theme floor. For this Istanbul City, the restroom interior was magnificent.

And others are like these below:-

This is a fisherman theme
I can't remember what does it called but this was at the 5th floor
Bakery Restroom

Some of other interesting interior that they have

Interesting right?!

But well, we did not go to each restrooms or walk on all floors sebab kaki dah patah and kepenatan pon. But we spent quite some time juga at this mall just to look on their interior. An A+ for the decoration. I just can't imagine how it will look like during Christmas. Sure meriah.

So yea, there you go. Half day spent at the mall taking pictures of their restrooms. Will continue with day 2 soon.
