Before we headed to Bangkok, me and few of my colleagues have done a bit of homework or a proper "brand plan" for this trip. The plan were inclusive of places that we wanted to visit which ended up not visiting and malls that we wanted to go which ended up spending more time at each mall. And since this is my first time in Bangkok, my duty is just to follow and not involving that much in the planning process.
One of the places that we planned to go (which we did) was the Chatuchak. According to all, it's a must place to go if you are in Bangkok. I can't imagine how the place looks like hence I did not set any expectation for it. I have all the list of things that I wanted to buy which one of it is my mother's table cloth. Chatuchak is a place where you can get everything under the sun and I couldn't agree more.
So the beginning of our day 2 - the visit to Chatuchak.
It took us about 20 mins from our hotel to Chatuchak via BTS. Oh, their transportation is way advance than ours. Their train system is very efficient. It's a 3 stories layer of railway. Super canggih! It is not advisable to commute through taxi as traffic is normally bad in Bangkok and it's way expensive than commuting with other transportations. Taxi driver akan charge sesuka hati ikut kehendak hati. Bus apa ntah lagi. Sangat menakutkan. MRT or BTS is the best solution to go to each places.
We reached Chatuchak at 10.30am and spent about 4 hours there. I was impressed on how huge the place was. It's something similar to Padang Besaq but this place is lagi besaq daripada Padang Besaq. 20x bigger.
And I secured most of the things that I wanted within that 4 hours time including my mother's table cloth. The weather was so hot that I could taste my own sweat, no kidding! No pictures were taken during my visit to this place as I was walking all alone. We decided to split in order to get our stuff else we won't be able to get our stuff if we were to walk in group. The place is huge man!
Chatuchak is a place where you can get to bargain for cheaper price. Clothing is not advisable to buy here as most of it are in bad quality tapi kalau nak beli t-shirt memang belambak. Ohh kat sinilah jumpa banyak imitation product.
After 4 hours, my legs felt numb for walking too much hence we decided to head to our hotel instead. Super penat weyh.
After about an hour of rest, we continue of shopping hopping and our next venue was the MBK. MBK was for food. My cousin told me that there's a halal restaurant in MBK. Little that we know that there's a lot of halal restaurant in that shopping mall. MBK is like Digital Mall. Most floors are selling gadget stuff. So, saya tak berapa nak minat.

Had our lunch-cum-dinner at Yana Restaurant for some halal Thai food. Sedap lah jugak. So-so je! Janji dapat makan.
After re-filling ourselves with food, we continue our shopping hopping to Hard Rock Cafe. The boys wanted to get themselves some souvenirs. Dari MBK berjalan kaki ke Hard Rock Cafe. Another round of patah kaki.
KL Hard Rock lagi besar |
Towards the end of the day, I can't really felt my legs anymore. Headed straight to the hotel room calling it off for the day. Penat gila
